Job Description

Diversified Communications has an exciting opportunity for a Marketing Coordinator to join our busy Seafood team. This key support position assists the seafood events' sales managers and marketing manager with the development and implementation of exhibitor marketing campaigns that deliver leads to the seafood sales teams. The marketing coordinator will develop marketing materials, content and copy, gather sponsorships deliverables (for special events, websites updates), track and analyze campaigns, and ensure messages are consistent with the brand and compelling to new and existing customers. This position is in charge of developing and executing social media campaigns for the seafood events and assist with the building of the events' mobile applications.

Essential Functions:

  • Work closely with Seafood Expo events' Sales Managers and Seafood Marketing Manager on exhibitor marketing campaign:

    • Prepare and maintain exhibitor annual promotion schedules for each event in the Seafood Portfolio and ensure timely execution
    • Write compelling content for the events' email campaigns to increase lead generation and sponsorship conversion
    • Work with cross-functional departments on initiatives that will create lead generation for sales managers
    • Track and analyze results of exhibitor marketing campaigns and recommend strategy adjustments in collaboration with Marketing Manager
    • Liaise with exhibitors sponsoring special events at events and fulfill marketing deliverables
    • Update events' websites with sponsors' information
    • Develop compelling marketing materials to support sales team efforts
    • Assist with exhibitor web advertising placements
    • Gather exhibitor information for mobile app
  • Review analyses of events' marketing surveys to recommend ways to improve exhibitor marketing
  • Work with Project Manager on Product Showcases/Product Awards updates on website, mobile app and printed materials
  • Develop and implement strategic social media plan to support marketing campaigns for Seafood events to increase engagement and conversion:

    • Write compelling posts to increase engagement year-round and support registration conversion during marketing campaigns
    • Set goals, track social media campaign and make adjustment as needed
  • Collaborate with Marketing Manager to build mobile applications for the events
  • Provide assistance for marketing logistics of each product
  • Other tasks as assigned

Skills & Qualifications:

Knowledge: The ideal candidate should have 2+ years of marketing, communication, customer service knowledge, education or related work experience; experience using marketing automation software and social media marketing platforms; digital knowledge and design skills desired (including Formstack, Smartsheets, Adobe Photoshop, and/or Canva)

Skills:

  • Proficiency in WordPress, Marketo, Adobe Photoshop and/or Canva
  • Experience with Microsoft Office suite, social media (Hootsuite, Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and LinkedIn)
  • Strong copywriting and editing skills
  • Strong interpersonal communications and collaborative attitude
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills; strong project management, planning and organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Customer service oriented
  • High interest in continuous learning and the ability to adapt quickly
