Responsibilities

Working under general supervision and in collaboration with the Vela Marketing Management team, WRBC Marketing, the Marketing Coordinator performs a wide variety of administrative and marketing support duties related to the daily operations of the marketing department.

  • Supports CMO and Executive team in the execution of Marketing & Distribution strategy and initiatives.
  • Assists CMO and Executive team in coordinating various communications and marketing activities.
  • Coordinates and produces marketing and communications collateral.
  • Supports in the coordination of Vela's social media strategy.
  • Executes a diverse array of details that involve email broadcast, trade shows and events, customer communications, media advertisements, promotions, internal communications, and Vela website and intranet.
  • Assists with maintaining Vela's customer relationship management tool.
  • Help coordinate meetings and other events during industry conferences.
  • Continually updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities and application in the Vela environment.
  • Coordinates with employees to maintain current information for business cards, professional photos, designations for use on company website, intranet, marketing collateral and external communications.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Four (4) year College Degree, or commensurate experience and training.
  • 0-3 years' experience in a marketing capacity.
  • Understand of basic marketing and insurance concepts.
  • Above average oral and written communication.
  • CRM - Salesforce or other Marketing platforms.
  • Computer Skills - Proficient with Excel, Word and Power Point, Canva or similar applications, Hootsuite, Qualtrics, Marketing Cloud, Website/Intranet content maintenance.
