Job Title: Marketing Data Analyst (hybrid)

Location: US-GA-Atlanta (Sandy Springs) or remote

FLSA: Exempt

Position Overview: Marketing Data Analyst, D2C (Direct to Consumer)

  • The successful candidate will serve as a data guru, analyzing data to gain insights that tell the story resulting in the creation of marketing strategies that drive revenue for the D2C channel
  • The role is customer facing and will act as a major influencer with key clients and partners for our Direct to Consumer programs in the U.S. and Canada
  • The position requires a self-starter with an inquisitive nature and a strong commitment to delivering the highest level of accuracy to both external clients and internal data consumers

Essential Functions:

Data and Analytics Reporting

  • Responsible for tracking, reporting, and analyzing consumer and product performance due to marketing campaigns and website engagement
  • Provides actionable insights to address critical strategic questions for improving product performance, marketing campaigns, website engagement, and increase revenue
  • Coordinates the development, automation, and management of reports and dashboards, along with managing ongoing ad-hoc requests
  • Effectively communicates data in a meaningful and insightful way based on the role consuming the respective data, reports, and dashboards
  • Works with the D2C team during user experience testing by defining user segments, monitoring testing data, and providing post-testing analysis
  • Collaborates with the D2C team regularly to identify gaps in reporting needs, develop reports and dashboards based on the gaps, and seek feedback for the progression of reporting

General Data Management

  • Coordinates data access from various formats and platforms (spreadsheets, website analytics software, CRM software, marketing automation software, e-commerce software, and more)
  • Responsible for the intake, validation, and cleansing process of client lead files prior to upload to the CRM database (Salesforce) - hands-on database management
  • Develop and implement data governance processes
  • Work with the corporate Business Intelligence team and other departments on D2C data processes and workflows

Troubleshooting

  • Document and communicate data issues in a timely manner
  • Identify, report, and fix inconsistent database issues
  • Works with Salesforce admin and development team members to understand the implication of data changes and issues
  • Perform data issue root cause analysis and recommend appropriate short term and long-term solution

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Marketing or equivalent
  • 5-7 years' experience managing and analyzing databases, developing reports and dashboards, providing analytical insights, and assisting in user experience testing
  • Automotive, after-market consumer services, or insurance industry an advantage
  • Multiple client or brand experience a plus
  • Experience with developing various business reporting and KPIs, including product reporting, marketing campaign reporting, website reporting, and sales/revenue reporting
  • Proficiency in SQL
  • Experience using Datorama or similar analytics and visualization software (Power BI, Tableau, etc.)
  • Experience with CRM technology (preferably Salesforce)
  • Experience with marketing automation software a plus (preferably Marketing Cloud)
  • Experience with web or product analytics software a plus (preferably Google Analytics)
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio)
  • Knowledge of project management tools (MS Teams, MS Project, SharePoint, Google SmartSheet) a plus
  • Detail and accuracy oriented

  • Demonstrated excellence in written and oral communications
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Ability to achieve thoroughness and accuracy when accomplishing a task
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Demonstrated experience working across teams in complex matrix organizations
  • Ability to work independently and handle complex projects in an exciting and fast-paced environment
  • Ideally, this person has experience with data in the automotive industry, after-market consumer services, or insurance industry, and experience at an ad agency or role that managed multiple clients or brands
  • Must be authorized to work in the U.S
  • Must be able to successfully pass a background check
