Job Description and Responsibilities:
Essential Functions
- Online Advertising and Publishing (Click Purchase and Monetization): Monitor and report on performance, making use of internal resources as well as external vendor provided platforms and interfaces. Provide regular, summarized data to enable decision-making on specific campaigns, vendors, and sources. Support the evaluation of these strategic initiatives to ensure progression in tactics to maximize performance.
- Key Revenue Metrics: Create, maintain, and enhance reporting to key revenue drivers and outcomes to facilitate transparency and effective decision making in support of the company's top line revenue goals. Assure consistency in the accuracy, evaluation and reporting of revenue metrics, with a particular focus on clarity of and visibility into revenue trends and marketing success for executives.
- Advertising Performance: Lead the analysis and interpretation of metrics related to business acquisition strategy performance including television, radio, and digital advertising, as well alternative and test media strategies. This should include the evaluation and use of existing tools such as CORE, and other attribution and media mix tools to expand our organization understanding of advertising performance holistically.
- Report Automation: Maximize the efficiency of existing and future internal and external data gathering, reporting, invoicing and paying related to revenue strategies through the use of automated processes connected to original data sources. Minimize the manual intervention and opportunities for errors. Establish monitors to validate accuracy and alerts to call attention to potential errors.
- Analytics Consultation and Collaboration: Become the primary analytical resource in support of marketing A/B testing, evaluating revenue trends, and forecasting key drivers. Consult the data science team as necessary to validate statistical rigor and confidence.
- Data Consumption: Interact with internal and external partners to understand new data sources and enable efficient consumption and organization of those data sources
- Analytics Support: Provide analytical support to other members of the marketing group, efficiently meeting their analytical needs while also continuously enabling their learning and independent data exploration and analysis
- Data Innovation: Continuously evaluate marketing data, seeking new insights to fuel the growth of the company
Education and Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Business (Marketing, Insurance etc.) or equivalent experience required
- 3+ years' automobile insurance experience helpful. Insight into traditional and digital marketing in general, insurance customer acquisition strategies in particular, preferred.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities (KSAs)
- Experience with Microsoft Office required including mastery of Microsoft Excel for analysis and sharing of insights
- Efficient use of data organization and preparation software, such as Alteryx, as well as data visualization software, such as Tableau, and web-based internet performance, such as Google Analytics, preferred
- Experience with basic modeling (linear regression, etc.) as well as capability to interact with advanced analytical models use of Basic R or Python and SQL helpful
- Working knowledge of the AS/400, WinPub and other company operating systems
- Ability to collect, compile and organize facts, figures and/or other information in accordance project goals, as well as the ability to extract intent and understand goals of business users
- Ability to provide oral and written communication regarding marketing and revenue strategy issues to various departments and levels of management
