Marketing Data Intern

Description

Tyler Technologies is accepting resumes for an internship opportunity as part of our corporate marketing team. This will be a long-term internship and hours can be adjusted to accommodate school schedule. The Marketing Data intern will be trained to assist with data operation functions like review, update and proactively manage marketing's data within production systems like Microsoft Dynamics CRM, Marketo and processing marketing lists for campaigns focused on the ever-changing government and educational sectors primarily in the US and Canada. You will be immersed in Tyler's successful marketing department and will gain an understanding of the public sector and technology industry as well as gain valuable experience with database platforms including Microsoft Dynamics Cloud and Marketo (Marketing Automation), while also sharpening data quality and data management skills, which are highly sought-after skills in today's job market.

Responsibilities

• Performs quality assurance of marketing lists (i.e. trade show lists, prospect lists, etc)
• Monitors, manages and improves marketing data quality by routine marketing data clean-up
• Maintains/updates client records as needed for data formatting and accuracy
• Cleanses data in database, removing all inactive/graveyard/outdated records
• Supports internal clients/departments with changes, additions, deletions of records
• Pulls prospect lists for direct mail and email campaigns; prepares for internal clients/external vendors as needed
• Investigates and resolves data issues (merging duplicates, etc)
• Assist with other data and reporting projects as needed

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing Masters/bachelor's degree with a focus on data management or Marketing/Sales/Business
• Good understanding of sales/marketing database concepts
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills with ability to manipulate data through formulas, macros and other techniques.
• Highly detailed oriented with a passion for data quality, and feels energized by consistent quality improvements made over time
• Ability to handle routine and repetitive tasks and work towards process improvements
• Experience in CRM tools (Microsoft Dynamics/Salesforce or similar) preferred but not required
• Working knowledge of reporting tools like Power BI/Tableau preferred but not required
• Academic knowledge or exposure to database management like SQL preferred but not required
• Effective time management skills (deadline/results driven)
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
