Marketing Design Specialist

As the Marketing Coordinator, you will be using excellent creative skills coupled with a keen eye for detail to shape Sierra Space's brand representation to all internal and external stakeholders. We seek a talented Marketing & Communications professional who can play a key role in shaping and defining the Sierra Space brand.
The ideal candidate will acutely be in tune with the facets of great, memorable design with interpersonal skills to build relationships across a multi-location, multi-stakeholder company. You will need to be a quick learner - able to digest often complex subject matters and interpret them in marketing assets which communicate a precise message. This role will be a highly active contributor to a dynamic team shaping a new and exciting brand.
Sierra Space-based in Louisville, CO with operations in Madison, WI, Durham, NC, Huntsville, AL, Houston, TX, and Kennedy Space Center, FL-designs and manufactures the Dream Chaser spaceplane and other advanced spacecraft, commercial space destinations, satellites, propulsion and environmental systems, spacecraft subsystems and components for the U.S. government (including NASA), commercial customers, and international organizations. Primary Responsibilities:

• Articulate the Sierra Space mission, vision and values to multi-stakeholder audiences through creative, distinctive and inspiring marketing communications assets and initiatives.
• Fully understand and ensure exacting delivery of the Sierra Space brand identity - driving adoption across all internal and external applications
• With particular focus on 2D materials, evolve the Sierra Space library of assets that both communicate our shared mission, but are also tailored to specific use cases (i.e. brand positioning, recruitment, sales)
• Be a key team member go-to for brand application expertise and insight
• Lead Sierra Space branding integration across all user interfaces
• Work as a partner with business sector leads across Transportation, Destinations & Applications to develop go-to-market and point of sale materials. Articulate the Sierra Space B2B offering through compelling marketing materials tied to a clear go-to-market plan
• Support the design, development and sourcing of a new tiered Sierra Space merchandise range orientated towards multiple stakeholders - team members, brand fans, customers - standing up a profit center for the business
• Partner with ESG (Environment, Social & Governance) team to play a leading role in development and execution of ESG initiatives and materials to showcase Sierra Space programs both internally and externally

Must-haves:

• Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Public Relations, Business or related field, and typically 3 or more years relevant work experience.
• Higher education may substitute for relevant experience
• Relevant experience considered in lieu of required education
• Prior experience with marketing and communications strategies and campaigns
• Demonstrated understanding of the process for producing press releases, brochures, and guides
• Working knowledge of industry trends and best practices

Preferred:

• Typically, 5+ years of relevant experience including in a design-related field
• Ability to work flexible hours & travel when necessary
• Experience in relevant industry
• Passion for the Sierra Space mission and a pioneering, entrepreneurial spirit
• Creative thinker, excellent communicator
• Robust organization skills, excellent multi-tasking abilities and a meticulous eye for detail
• A genuine passion for great design and the impact achievable through carefully crafted messages, visuals and assets
• Innovative mindset - hands-on, real-time approach to problem solving and an unwavering bias for action

Estimated Starting Salary Range: 62,660.05 - 86,157.57. Sierra Space considers several factors when extending job offers, including but not limited to candidates' key skills, relevant work experience, and education/training/certifications.
