The Marketing Director for the MMS - IV Fluids Platform will be responsible for leading Platform marketing for the high growth and strategically relevant IV Fluids portfolio. This role will focus on managing the portfolio and go-to-market (GTM) strategy for IV Fluids, including strategic partnerships with our 3rd party IV Fluids suppliers. This role will report directly to the Platform Leader for Next Generation Infusion Systems and IV Fluids and will have significant influence on how the IV Fluids organization is shaped within BD, including the potential for one or more direct reports in the future. This role will partner closely with cross-functional and regional partners, with particular focus in North America, to identify opportunities to rapidly grow our portfolio and partner cross-functionally to develop commercial excellence strategies and marketing materials to support our business objectives. This role will also work closely with the marketers across the Infusion Platforms to identify and enable total solutions within the Infusion category.
- Leads upstream marketing efforts for the IV Fluids portfolio and identifies new opportunities to expand IV Fluids growth through total solutions strategies
- Drives 3rd party partnerships for IV Fluids including forecasting and distribution strategy
- Responsible for the total customer experience including, the strategic and financial performance of the product portfolio. Supports annual planning process to define and communicate strategic, product development and operational direction for the product solution, and influences multifunctional resources to accomplish business objectives
- Defines and drives execution of the marketing strategy, product roadmap (including lifecycle management) and priorities for responsible product offering. Develops annual and long term product roadmaps, marketing plans and launch planning in conjunction and consultation with the regions, internal supply chain and 3rd party partners to create a robust product pipeline that meets or exceeds customer expectations
- Manages all aspects of the portfolio positioning, pricing and brand strategies
- Accountable for working with regional marketing counterparts to develop and execute regional strategies to ensure achievement of financial/ budget expectations
- Accountable for demand management by developing recommendations on product sales forecasts and production inventory issues
- Effectively communicates value proposition of the products to sales team and develops sales tools that support selling process
- Develops expertise on customer buying criteria; market segmentation, competition to create strategies to win in the market
- Establishes and maintains a strong competitive position through strategic and tactical identification of marketing opportunities
- Actively seeks new ways to leverage MMS Infusion portfolio of products and services to create solution based offerings
- Meets all marketing work-stream deliverables as required in BD Global Product Development Process as necessary

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- BS/BA required, MBA highly preferred. 8+ years of related functional experience and business leadership in pharmaceutical, medical device and/or life sciences industry with a consistent track-record in leading & developing high performance, cross functional teams in a matrix business environment."
- Previous experience in IV Fluids, infusion sets, pumps, software, and infusion-related services experience highly desirable.
- Previous experience in managing 3rd party partnerships highly desirable.
- Experience in planning, executing, and measuring marketing programs, including the launch and product lifecycle management of products and services.
- Experience in supporting and training salesforce for new product launches and on-going sales messaging.
