With strong divisional growth, the Residential and Landscape Contractor (RLC) division is seeking a progressive event manager who can lead our brand into the future through important meetings, conferences, and special events during the year for internal and external partners. As the Event Manager for Toro's RLC division, you can help make these important customer connections consistently efficient, cost-effective and undeniably memorable.

The ideal candidate will be able to evaluate and negotiate with vendors, collaborate among a wide variety of internal teams including marketing, retail and sales channels, business segments and more, and manage communications with business stakeholders, attendees and speakers. Above all, the event manager must be comfortable in a role that demands a creative, business-driven mindset while working on a variety of events for multiple stakeholders at any given time. You should be extremely well-organized, a motivated self-starter and possess a sound knowledge of project and event management. Excellent communication and attention to detail skills are vital in this role, as our success depends on meeting tailored requirements.

What Will You Do?

  • Oversee the planning and execution of approximately 25 internal and external events per year for Toro's RLC division
  • Uphold Toro's brand identity, mission and vision with every event
  • Ensure Toro's event presence is consistently representing an innovative leader within the outdoor power equipment industry
  • Identify the business requirements, objectives and expectations for each event and identify innovative ways to achieve business objectives (i.e. leads, retail sales, customer engagement and booth traffic)
  • Own every aspect of event coordination, planning and deliverables
  • Keep budgets and timelines within guidelines at all times
  • Book venues, schedule attendees/guests, draft and finalize contracts, and manage all event logistics
  • Hire personnel as needed across all functions of an event (ex: registration, setup, catering, audio/visual)
  • Handle day-to-day administration of events and programs, including order and product placements, vendor monitoring, travel planning, restaurant reservations, attendee participation, registration counts, RSVP tracking, and issues resolution
  • Manage coordination of all event set-up, tear down, and follow-up processes
  • Conduct final inspections on the day of the event to ensure everything adheres to standards
  • Identify opportunities for process and cost improvement and partner with leadership to implement
  • Assess an event's overall success and submit findings
  • Perform other tasks and projects as requested

What Do You Need?

  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications or related field
  • Minimum of 3 - 5 years' experience in event coordination
  • Well-organized with excellent multi-tasking abilities
  • Outstanding project management skills and attention to detail
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Self starter
  • Travel expectation: 15-30% mainly to events
