Position Overview:

We are seeking a dynamic and motivated Events Intern to join our team and contribute to the planning, coordination, and execution of various industry events and conferences. This is an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience and mentorship in event marketing from an award-winning industry events professional. The intern will work closely with our Marketing team to ensure the success of our events while learning about event planning, promotion, and engagement strategies. 

This is a hands-on execution role so you will be jumping in and participating with the details and execution of our live events in real-time.

Key Responsibilities:

- Assist in the planning and execution of marketing industry events, including trade shows, and networking events as well as internal events.

- Assist in coordinating logistics, such as event schedules, vendor coordination, catering, and audio visual requirements.

- Research potential event opportunities, venues, speakers, sponsors, and partners to enhance event quality and attendee experience.

-Assist with budget tracking and planning.

- Support the development of event marketing materials, including promotional content, invitations, signage, and collateral.

- Contribute to the creation and management of event registration systems, ensuring smooth attendee registration and tracking.

- Assist with pre-event and post-event communications.

- Attend events  to provide on-site support, manage registration, assist speakers and partners, and ensure overall event success.

- Provide post-event analysis and reporting, including attendance figures, engagement metrics, and feedback for continuous improvement.

Qualifications:

- Current enrollment in a relevant degree program, such as Marketing, Communications, Event Management, or a related field.

- Strong interest in marketing, events, and the broader marketing industry.

- Excellent organizational and multitasking skills, with a keen eye for attention to detail.

- Strong written and verbal communication skills.

- Comfort level talking to customers, prospective clients and executives at conferences as needed.

- Self-motivated, proactive, and eager to learn, with a willingness to take on new challenges and juggle multiple projects simultaneously.

- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment, or independently when required.

- Flexibility to work outside regular office hours during event periods.

Duration and Compensation:

This is a Fall-Spring internship position with a part-time schedule. Compensation and benefits details will be discussed during the interview process.

Compensation Range: $19/hour- $22/hour
