Who We Are
Cross River Bank (“CRB”), is fundamentally changing the way fintech companies do business. As venture-backed pioneers of the platform-based financial services model known as the “partner bank,” we’re building the best banking and technology products for our fintech partners - empowering them to grow, thrive, and better serve their customers. We’re currently working with over a dozen fintech firms of all sizes, ranging from unicorns with billion-dollar valuations to seed round companies.
What We’re Looking For
Cross River is looking to hire new talent for our Summer 2023 eight-week Intern Program beginning in June 2023. Cross River has developed a customized, project-based program where we strive to individualize each student’s experience based on their unique skill set and career choice.
Potential skills to be taught on the job:
From day one, summer Marketing interns are immersed in Cross River’s innovative and dynamic company culture valuing humility, integrity, creativity, compassion, and responsibility. As such, they will receive:
- Meaningful and challenging work assignments
- An understanding of the nuances in internal, external and partner communications
- Empowerment to bring creative ideas to the table
- Participation in the development of multilayered and multiplatform Marketing strategy
- Networking opportunities with peers, senior leaders, and executives
- Exposure to different areas of Cross River’s financial services business
Responsibilities:
Collaborate with Marketing team in all stages of marketing campaigns to develop, expand and maintain our marketing channels. Goal is to acquire marketing skills and provide the intern with knowledge of various marketing strategies.
- Collect quantitative and qualitative data from marketing campaigns
- Perform market analysis and research on competition
- Support the marketing team in daily administrative tasks
- Assist in the creation of written, video, and image content for marketing channels.
- Assist in marketing and advertising promotional activities (e.g. social media, direct mail and web)
- Prepare decks and presentations
- Assist with marketing events and swag
Qualifications:
- Strong writing and verbal communication skills and well versed in grammar. Must be able to write in both professional and conversational/personable tones.
- Understand and be comfortable using the large social media platforms – Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, LinkedIn, and YouTube
- Interested and familiar with education, public relations/communications, and social media
- Team player who works well with others and isn’t afraid to ask questions
- Detail-oriented, cares about how our communications will impact our business, our partners, and thousands of people
- An interest in the media and follows news trends
