GENERAL PURPOSE OF THE JOB:
The Marketing team at American Equity is seeking 2 interns to evolve the next generation of our Agent/Customer Experience. The AEL Summer Internship Program is designed to provide students with an immersive, challenging and meaningful real-world work experience that replicates as closely as possible the career journey of an American Equity professional. Each selected intern will gain experience through meaningful hands-on work that drives measurable business outcomes.
*This is a 10-12 week on-site summer internship located in West Des Moines, Iowa.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Evolve our sentiment analysis work leveraging data to create insights and drive impact.
- Leverage Ux skillets to drive our digital experience forward through website enhancements.
- Ability to take data and find insights to convert to action.
- Market research leveraging a variety of data sources.
- Assist marketing teams with projects that drive desired business outcomes through creation/execution of marketing campaigns.
- Build strong working relationships and partner with other critical teams.
- Shadow team members to learn the essential duties and functions of the role.
- Gain a basic-level of understanding around annuities and how they fit into the financial planning process.
- Familiarize yourself with our product lineup and our unique capabilities.
- Learn and Utilize various software tools to perform vital job functions.
- Performs other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:
Actively pursuing a Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Finance, Economics, Business Management or a similar field.
Experience with data and analytics platforms preferred.
Cx Experience a plus.
