Job Overview

WargamingUSA is searching for a junior colleague to join them in Chicago, Illinois. This PAID internship is a unique opportunity for students, university graduates, and young professionals to learn the most modern and dynamically evolving marketing strategies. 

Reporting to the senior director of marketing, the marketing intern will learn about marketing by working with World of Tanks Modern Armor's publishing team. They will lead or assist on multiple marketing research projects. They will also shadow marketing team members and provide insights on multiple marketing or publishing initiatives.

What will you do?

• Use internet research to assist on competitive analyses for ad creative, community, and social media of comparable games

• Play top comparable games to assist analysis of user experience, merchandising, and gameplay, presenting findings as PowerPoint, video or Excel presentations.

• Use Excel, PowerPoint, and photo editing tools to assist in updating weekly social media reports, marketing status reports, and ad campaign analyses.

• Use Internet research and publicly available tools to analyze marketing best practices for PlayStation, Xbox, and Steam titles

• Take and distribute group meeting notes or transcribe for meetings in which they participate

• Meet with Wargaming team members to gain insights on marketing and working in the video game industry.

What are we looking for?

• Undergraduate status

• Experience with Microsoft Office Suite: making Excel spreadsheets, editing PowerPoints, writing Word docs, chatting and meeting in Teams, etc.

• Strong writing and communication skills

• Passion for marketing, research, and analytics

• Passion for video games including actively playing games currently

• Ability to work and learn in a remote setting

• Ability to meet deadlines

• Basic photo editing and video editing experience

• Understanding of social media

• Understanding of gaming communities like Discord
