The Role
Maesa is currently seeking a full time Marketing & Product Development Intern, who will support a multi-category beauty portfolio sold in different channels. Brands range from specialty fashion retail and outsourced private label to proprietary/incubated Maesa brands.
Pay Range: $16/hour - $18/hour. Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location.
Key Responsibilities
- Aid in the development of new product/brand launch strategy (launch plan, positioning, pricing, internal design process, merchandising).
- Assist with day-to-day Product Development operational and Marketing aspects of new and existing products - everything from conceptualizing and idea to launching a product.
- Become an essential part of the team and development process.
Main tasks may include:
- Conduct competitive/market research and track industry trends to identify new product opportunities suitable for each unique brand
- Help manage promotional calendar for color/nail/skin/hair/fragrance categories
- Participate in brainstorming for brand names, product names, formula ideation
- Work closely with in-house design studio and Operations team on artwork process including routing and proofreading
- Prepare category sales reviews, and perform ad hoc analysis upon request
- Create concepts and mood boards for new brands and product launches
- Create briefs for new brands/products to be presented
- Participate in client meetings and manage key takeaways
Qualifications and Requirements
- Full-time internship - 3 months minimum with potential of extending.
- Hours: 9am-6pm EST (Must be able to work 40 hours per week)
- Passion for beauty, fragrance, social, trends, and product innovation
- Strong communication, project management and analytical skills
- Ability to work in fast paced organization with an energetic entrepreneurial spirit
- Positive attitude and ability to get things done
- Previous internship experience in beauty is a bonus!
