Job Profile Summary
The Marketing Leader I role serves as a key leader in the First Financial Marketing Department. This leader is a creative, high capacity, organized experienced marketer with strong skills in traditional marketing functions. This individual has direct experience in development of marketing creative, media buying and placement, traditional, digital and social messaging, and management of brand assets. The Marketing Leader I plays a critical role in ensuring that First Financial promotion/advertising, across all channels and mediums, is on point, consistent with all brand standards and aligned with key organizational goals. The leader also has experience in measuring and evaluating the return on investment of critical marketing activities. This leader will work closely with the marketing leadership team and Chief Marketing Officer to develop dedicated advertising and messaging, help lead research to define key customer segments and strategies to reach them. This leader will have experience in managing external marketing vendor partnerships.
Essential Functions/Responsibilities
- Develop key marketing strategies to achieve critical bank goals
- Oversee and provide primary direction to creative agencies/partners
- Oversee external mass media execution with agency partners and appropriate members of Marketing Leadership team
- Partner with Marketing Leadership team to ensure campaigns are on aligned to key goals and effective from an ROI perspective
- Supervise, direct or indirectly, members of the marketing team.
- Partner with Digital Marketing Managers to ensure digital creative execution effective and aligned with overall marketing efforts
- Partner and execute as needed related marketing efforts including social media, other bank communications, sponsorships and promotions
- Draft, update as needed and support Marketing Policies
- Provide analysis of marketing efforts
- Partner with Chief Marketing Officer and the Marketing Leadership team to research and understand opportunities for improved achievement of bank goals and strategies
Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Needed to Perform Essential Functions of the Job
- Minimum 7 years of experience leading marketing creative, campaigns and strategic marketing plans to achieve key organizational goals
- Minimum 5 years of experience in management and execution of comprehensive Social Media strategy
- Experience in managing marketing agencies
- Experience in placement and analysis of traditional media challenges
- Skilled in marketing intelligence gathering and research
- Strong creative skills
- Excellent communication skills - both written and verbal
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing or related field required
- Strategic thinker and performer with strong planning capabilities and proven track record in delivering best practices to drive efficiency
- Proven leadership with the ability to collaborate with others and manage employees
