Marketing Manager
Job Description
Working with a collaborative, entrepreneurial approach, the Marketing Manager thrives on managing a variety of key marketing initiatives concurrently within a dynamic organization. The role is responsible for the execution of all marketing plans and strategies for our Administrative Support product portfolio. This includes the Administrative Professional Conference (www.apcevent.com), American Society of Administrative Professionals membership (www.asaporg.com), PACE certification program (www.asaporg.com/pace), and EA Ignite conferences (www.eaignite.com). This is a hands-on role that requires both leadership ability - managing people and setting the marketing strategy - as well as the ability to get into the weeds as needed.
Key Responsibilities will include:
- Work directly and in alignment with product owners and sales team to develop strategic marketing plans and deliver a full marketing cycle calendar that incorporates Admin Group portfolio offerings.
- Partner with internal resource teams (e.g., Web, Inbound Marketing, Operations, etc.) as needed to increase campaign understanding, promote transparency, and facilitate interdepartmental collaboration.
- Manage time effectively to develop key strategies while executing on multiple concurrent marketing initiatives and developing tactical skills, knowledge, and best practices.
- Manage a team of Marketing Coordinators, assigning long- and short-term tasks and projects, answering questions to encourage independent work, and reviewing and approving content.
- Take active role in helping Marketing Coordinators expand skillset and market understanding, sharing marketing best practices and advocating for professional development opportunities as appropriate.
- Evaluate market and product data to develop future strategies. Identify new platforms and/or opportunities to increase brand awareness and conversion.
- Maintain a consistent and strategic identity throughout all product lines, promotional materials, digital channels, and marketing events.
- Develop & oversee execution of product communication strategies via email, advertising, web copy, and social posts.
- Develop or oversee the development of product collateral, including sales enablement materials, direct mail campaigns, promotional materials for future and existing product(s), signage, etc.
- Work directly with Inbound Marketing Team to increase visibility of online content, including social media sites, to drive traffic to event and product sites.
- Deliver marketing KPIs to internal team, keeping the supervisor informed and involved in all on-going and upcoming marketing initiatives.
- Actively manage marketing budgets and ensure marketing plans are executed within budget.
- Manage agency and vendor relationships as projects and strategies dictate.
The ideal candidate will have 6+ years of demonstrated experience in progressive roles, is an excellent communicator, motivator, and administrator. Strong copywriting, editing, and design skills. This role requires strong project management, planning and organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple details in a deadline driven environment. Key technical skills required: CMS platforms (WordPress), basic HTML skills, Marketo or similar marketing automation experience, Google Analytics, Canva & video editing/creation, MS Office suite.
Travel will be required!
