Job Description
Sungage Financial has revolutionized the residential solar industry by offering a consumer-friendly approach to going solar. We need your help to create an even better experience for our customers and help more people go solar than ever before. We are looking for a Marketing Manager in our downtown Boston office. The Marketing Manager executes the marketing strategies which drive awareness and preference for Sungage financing within the solar community. This role acts as a champion of the brand, ensuring that all external and internal communications support and reinforce the Sungage brand personality. It involves collaboration with the Product Marketing Manager, Sales, Operations, Partner Success (PSM), Customer Support and Business Insights teams and reports to the Director of Marketing.
In order to be highly effective, the Marketing Manager will need to gain extensive knowledge of Sungage’s product, target audiences, competitive landscape, and available marketing communication channels. To be successful, the Marketing Manager must possess excellent project management, communications and negotiation skills and have experience with the creative development process, digital marketing, public relations, and events planning. The Marketing Manager is responsible for developing and managing tools, content, and resources that drive revenue.Â
Responsibilities:
- Act as a brand ambassador, ensuring our brand voice is present in all target-facing communications
- Design and deploy marketing campaigns that nurture results at each stage of our target’s journeyÂ
- Produce relevant content that engages, enhances perceptions of us and drives usage among our channel partners – blogs, newsletters, infographics, emails, videos, webinars, social media, website, and other interactive content
- Maintain the database of marketing assets and ensure they are current and accurateÂ
- Maintain refreshed content of the website marketing pages
- Create sales enablement tools such as collateral, training slides, videos, case studies and website contentÂ
- Plan and manage the execution of solar industry events, ensuring we optimize our presence, generate new leads, and build our brand
- Produce effective press releases which support our strategic initiatives and generate industry coverage
- Support sales contest management and oversee maintenance of swag portal
- Manage freelance graphic designers’ work
- Understand the competitive landscape—be an expert on competitive product offerings and perceptions/positionings and a resource to others
- Incorporate testing wherever feasible to derive learnings from marketing initiatives
- Report on key performance metrics and make recommendations for improvementÂ
Requirements:
- 5-7 years of marketing experience in a dynamic, fast-paced marketing environment where innovation and agility are highly valued
- Excellent writing skills and prior experience in developing press releases
- Proficiency in trade show planning, execution and management
- Strong presentation, facilitation and interpersonal skills; comfortable in front of large, senior groups
- Exceptional critical thinking and project management skills; ability to prioritize and balance multiple, ongoing projects, organized and detail-oriented
- Self-starter mentality, start-up experience preferredÂ
- Solid quantitative/analytical skills and strong attention to detailÂ
- Experience with Salesforce, project management tools and marketing automation platforms
- Basic knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite products, Pardot, Canva and HTML coding
- Must be team-oriented, comfortable in a multi-functional environment, able to adapt as expectations and responsibilities evolve, resourceful and work well both independently and collaboratively
- Interest in solar and/or working for a mission-driven company; previous solar experience a plus
- Bachelor’s degree in business or marketing; MBA preferred
