Job Description
Summary
The AFB Marketing Manager is an ideal role for someone who loves B2B marketing as well as dogs and cats, is energized by autonomy, naturally leads through influence, and enjoys having the opportunity and responsibility to develop and implement an outstanding brand vision. This position plans, creates, and implements the global marketing strategy for AFB, including idea generation, marketing planning, tradeshow management, content development, market research, tracking, and budgeting.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Create and implement a brand vision that supports the company's strategy, annual objectives, and customer and company needs
- Create and manage the annual marketing plan identifying priorities, initiatives, marketing assets, and KPIs that align and promote our strategic direction, increases qualified leads, improves customer loyalty and advances a customer's desire to purchase from AFB
- Be a go-to for customer, competitor, and market trends. Use knowledge to drive business case development and strategic updates; share relevant updates within the business to drive business decisions.
- Prepare and drive new product and technology business cases through the innovation and gate processes
- Partner with Product Management, R&D, and Sales on the development and introduction of new products including the development of brand positioning, sales collateral, and communication materials
- Lead the upgrade of Salesforce marketing automation to deliver campaigns and content that build brand loyalty and awareness, support the customer experience, and drive customer conversion.
- Design and execute Voice-of-Customer (VOC) data gathering and hypothesis testing that reveals in-depth customer insights to build brand loyalty and brand awareness
- Be deeply knowledgeable about the customer journey and curate the customer experience, developing and implementing digital martech and technical content that supports customer needs and expectations
- Develop and maintain excellent internal and external relationships; collaborate with all functional areas to successfully implement strategic marketing initiatives; build strong relationships and partner with key industry players, agencies, and vendors
Supervisory Responsibilities:
This position is an individual contributor working on a global marketing team of about ten people.
Qualifications
Required:
- Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university
- Three (3) to five (5) years related experience or training required
- Fluent English
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
To perform this job successfully, an individual should have the following knowledge, skills and abilities:
- Experience with successful, engaging brand management in a B2B environment
- Demonstrated success with CRM marketing automation development
- Experience with website analytic tools to guide and inform marketing initiatives
- Understanding of traditional and emerging marketing channels; enthusiastic about best practices and latest trends in B2B digital marketing and measurement
- Success with getting support for projects and investments and executing projects to their conclusion
- Experience transforming complex solutions to simple, clear consumer-facing content
- Self-starter; success working in autonomous environments with little supervision
- Extraordinary verbal, written, and graphic communication skills in a multicultural, multinational; enjoy presenting in the boardroom, on stage, or in the elevator to large and small audiences alike
- Demonstrated effectiveness and enthusiasm for garnering support, mobilizing high-performance teams, and driving initiatives through influence versus authority
- Ability to manage changing priorities and ambiguity while remaining calm and positive
- Ability to travel up to 20%, mostly domestic
