Job Description

Groundfloor's fast growing Marketing department is seeking a marketing generalist, who has experience managing and executing to different marketing functions in any given day. The ideal candidate will be used to wearing different hats, but will have a keen understanding of brand management, copywriting, and an eye for design.

The Marketing Manager will assist the marketing department in driving initiatives that touch all aspects of our business including brand awareness, customer acquisition, marketing automation and demand generation.

The ideal candidate will 5+ years experience with an agency, fintech and/or startup, has strong copywriting experience and has risen to the challenge of widely varying positions and responsibilities over their career and is local to Atlanta, Georgia.

THIS JOB MIGHT BE FOR YOU IF:

  • Strategic content development skills, including experience writing ad copy for a range of digital platforms, under tight deadlines.
  • Ability to expertly navigate between requirements gathering and collaboration with design and engineering teams.
  • A deep knowledge of all marketing tactics/channels, content optimization, user experience, and stay abreast of key trends and changing consumer behavior.
  • Polished communicator with an action-oriented focus, capable of solving communication challenges, and helping the team develop original solutions.
  • Highly motivated individual who thrives in a fast-paced team environment and is readily adaptable to changing market and organizational requirements.

Requirements

A DAY IN THE LIFE:

  • Managing and implementing online and email marketing initiatives.
  • Writing, proofreading, and editing creative and technical content across different mediums.
  • Leveraging customer insight, business intelligence, KPI analysis, market awareness, and segmentation to drive effective marketing strategies that package and promote our products through multiple modalities of engagement.
  • Collaborating cross-functionally to develop and launch exceptional product experiences.
  • Telling engaging, compelling stories using a variety of media -- words, images, audio, and video.

YOUR EXPERIENCE + A FEW NICE TO HAVES:

  • Bachelor's Degree in business, marketing or communications.
  • Minimum of 5 years experience working in progressive marketing functions.
  • Strong experience in copywriting - you know how to tell a story and position a company/product.
  • Previous experience working within the context of a high-growth startup or early-stage company.
  • Previous experience with marketing automation (hubspot, mailchimp, ect)
  • Experience with customer lifecycle stages, maps & analysis.
  • Understanding of omni-channel marketing.
  • Extremely accountable, resourceful and results-oriented team player capable of high-functioning collaboration.
  • Exceptional writing, verbal communication skills, and an eye for design.
  • Experience in using data to inform decisions.
