Marketing Manager
Job Description
Diversified Communications is growing and we are looking for a creative and enthusiastic Marketing Manager to join our Clean Energy Group! Working with a collaborative, entrepreneurial approach, the ideal candidate will thrive on managing a variety of key marketing initiatives concurrently within a dynamic organization. The Marketing Manager will be responsible for the strategy and execution of marketing campaigns and media partnerships in support of the Intersolar North America (ISNA) and Energy Storage North America brand (ESNA), which also includes the Solar Games and digital content.
Essential Functions:
- Work directly and in alignment with the Marketing Director to develop key product marketing strategies, developing a full marketing cycle calendar that incorporates ISNA/ESNA portfolio offerings. Share exhibitor and visitor/attendee campaign details and updates within the ISNA/ESNA group and internal resource teams (e.g., Web, Inbound Marketing, Operations, etc.) as needed to increase understanding, promote transparency, and facilitate interdepartmental collaboration.
- Manage your time effectively to develop key strategies while executing on multiple concurrent marketing initiatives and developing tactical skills, knowledge, and best practices.
- Manage Marketing Coordinator, assigning long- and short-term tasks and projects, answering questions to encourage independent work, and reviewing and approving content. Take active role in helping Marketing Coordinator expand skillset and industry understanding, sharing marketing best practices and advocating for professional development opportunities as appropriate.
- Evaluate market and product data to develop future strategies. Identify new platforms and/or opportunities to increase brand awareness and conversion.
- Maintain a consistent corporate and product brand identity throughout all product lines, promotional materials, digital channels, and marketing events (third-party events).
- Develop & oversee execution of product communication strategies via email, advertising, web copy, and social posts.
- Develop or oversee the development of product collateral, including sales enablement materials, direct mail campaigns, promotional and collateral materials for future and existing product(s), signage, etc.
- Work directly with Inbound Marketing Team to increase visibility of online content, including social media sites, to drive traffic to event and product sites.
- Deliver weekly marketing KPIs to Marketing Director, keeping the supervisor informed and involved in all on-going and upcoming marketing initiatives.
- Ensure marketing plans and execution are carried out within budget for all aspects of exhibitor andvisitor/attendee marketing. Actively manage marketing budgets for the event(s).
- Manage agency and vendor relationships as projects and strategies dictate.
Skills & Qualifications
Knowledge: BA/BS degree required. 6+ years of demonstrated experience in progressive roles in direct marketing strategy and execution. Excellent communicator, motivator, and administrator.
Skills: Strong copywriting, editing, and design skills; Strong project management, planning and organizational skills. Attention to detail a must.
Technical Experience:
- CMS platforms (WordPress preferred); basic understanding of HTML
- Marketing automation systems (Marketo or Hubspot preferred)
- Google Analytics
- Canva/Photoshop
- Microsoft Office Suite
Abilities: Effectively manage the marketing process; communicate effectively with the team - listening to ideas, communicating strategy, adjusting when needed; executing marketing activities.
