Our tech client is looking for a Marketing Manager to oversee a key sports vertical in the Sports Partnerships team. You will partner and collaborate with the best sports teams and franchises around the world and marry their brands with the global reach of their brand.Â
Would you like to...
- Product Marketing: Lead the execution of marketing campaigns with our team, athletes etc. This includes understanding how goals tie to objectives and tactics, positioning of campaigns in a marketing framework, understand how PR, social, web, CRM and other tools can bring campaigns to life, and deliver on key metrics
- Partner Engagement: Be the main point-of-contact for external teams and agencies assigned to this role. Schedule weekly or bi-weekly meetings, update Sports teams on latest developments, discover new opportunities which may fulfill Sports' objectives for the year/season
- Project Management-focused: Key Strength - must handle numerous programs simultaneously, while collaborating with different groups effectively for feedback and collaboration, with timely execution of programs
- Persuasive-speaking and presenting skills: Must have experience presenting to leadership, being persuasive in negotiations and comfortable presenting to large groups. The ability to be concise with large amounts of data is idealÂ
- Data-minded: Must be very competent in analyzing data, including using data to make and support marketing decisions and show results of programs. Experience with marketing data and research services is ideal
- Creative-and-critical-thinking: Be comfortable providing feedback on creative and providing perspective on how the creative benefits the activations they are tasked with. Should be able to show experience tying together disparate pieces of information to find unique opportunities.
We would like you to have...
- At least 3-5 years of relevant marketing experience within the sporting industry
- Sports Marketing Experience: Must have a deep understanding and appreciation for the US and Global Sports landscape, with a deeper understanding of the Sports this job is assigned too. This includes all the key teams, league, competitors, along with what other non-endemic Sports brands are doing in the space. Â Being a fan of teams in this vertical is not critical if the candidate showcases other experience
- Gaming/Consumer-focused: Candidate should have a passion for gaming and its place in the broader Entertainment category. Â In addition, should display knowledge of GenZ/Millennials audiences, how they are influential in current marketing trends. Â Ideal candidate would have executed plans involving these audiences
- Curious-minded: Must show the desire to always learn, even when confronted with information they may already know
- Inclusive: Must be comfortable working in a highly inclusive working environment. Â In addition, should have a perspective on how Sports and Inclusivity work together, and where tcan continue to push the boundaries of diversity, inclusion, and leadership in this space.
- Software Usage: Must be very comfortable with Office suite technology (MS Office, PowerPoint, Excel) along with conducting meetings over video-conferencing software (Teams, WebEx, Zoom etc.)
