2K publishes some of the most popular video game franchises on the planet, including NBA 2K, WWE 2K, PGA TOUR 2K, Borderlands, BioShock, XCOM and Sid Meier’s Civilization. Our Marketing teams are comprised of experienced and talented professionals who work together and across the company to create memorable and innovative campaigns for industry-leading titles.
What We NeedWe are seeking an experienced Marketing Manager to work alongside our Americas Marketing Team and support all integrated marketing efforts to launch and sustain our tentpole NBA 2K franchise. The ideal candidate should be passionate about basketball, sports, video games, and pop culture. The ideal candidate will have the ability to work on-site at our facilities in Novato, CA. Los Angeles, CA is a potential location with frequent travel to Bay Area.
What You Will Do- Reporting to the Senior Manager for NBA, Americas + Australia, you will be responsible driving marketing execution for the NBA business across US, Canada, and LATAM. You will participate in the following:
- Work with Americas Marketing Team to build integrated marketing plans that target specific audiences through unique and innovative consumer journeys and experiences.
- Partner with Global Marketing, Growth, and Player Connections teams to mine data and insight into consumer behaviors in each market.
- Develop materials for pitching ideas focused on strategy, audience, product, and ROI.
- Manage marketing America NBA marketing budgets and billing process, including POs, invoicing, IOs, and legal agreements.
- Manage day-to-day communications and relationship with media agency and internal performance media teams.
- Contribute to development of retail marketing plan in collaboration with channel marketing team.
- Take a lead role in the briefing process for both internal and external creative needs.
- Liaise between media, channel, and creative teams to build brand assets for paid media & retail campaigns within required timelines.
- Responsible for trafficking creative assets from internal teams to external agency, partners, and teams.
- Liaise with NBA, NBPA, and NBA team partnerships to create yearly plans.
- Develop ROI reports and postmortems that deliver learnings for future efforts.
- Proactively optimize processes and best practices to aid efficiency of internal and external relationships and work cycles.
- Be a true expert on our products, our consumers, our competitors, and culture.
- 4-7+ years of experience marketing experience working for a consumer brand on brand-side or account management agency side for high functioning brands.
- Experience executing large scale paid media campaigns with media agency/internal media teams.
- Experience executing retail marketing campaigns with retail/sales teams.
- Excellent at managing budgets, POs and tracking marketing spends.
- Highly organized, detail-oriented and deadline driven.
- Proactive approach.
- Creative and strategic thinker who is not afraid to push boundaries and explore never-been-done ideas.
- Excellent multi-tasking and self-management skills.
- Passion for NBA, Sports Culture, and Video Games. Knows NBA 2K well.
- Games marketing experience a plus.
- Experience in a matrix organization a plus. Bonus for experience in a US or North America marketing department.
- Self-starter, able to take ownership over tasks and carry them throughout to the end.

The pay range for this position in California at the start of employment is expected to be between $90,000and $130,000 per annually. However, base pay offered is based on market location, and may vary further depending on individualized factors for job candidates, such as job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and other objective business considerations. Subject to those same considerations, the total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, including a bonus and/or equity awards, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment. If hired, employee will be in an 'at-will position' and the company reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation or benefit program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, company or individual department/team performance, and market factors.
