PURPOSE/SCOPE:
The Marketing Manager is a key position with the Sales Operations & Marketing team, supporting the North American Field Sales Teams. We are looking for someone who has a strong focus on planning and executing projects to generate customer demand and leads. This role is highly collaborative and will require working with many departments to plan and execute responsibilities. The ideal candidate will be a dynamic self-starter who has the desire to get broad experience in Marketing and grow with the company. The role will focus on Tennant's Commercial business.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
- Collaborate with Sales, Marketing and Operation stakeholders to develop and execute marketing strategies to aid in achieving business goals and objectives.
- Collaborate with internal teams and external agencies to execute marketing tactics effectively
- Develop and use best practices to track, analyze, optimize, and report performance
- Set clear goals and report metrics to demonstrate campaign results, effectiveness, and efficiency
- Identify opportunities to improve go-to-market strategy & tactic effectiveness through better audience segmentation, marketing techniques and processes
- Demand Generation
- Create and execute cohesive demand generation campaigns that can be implemented across multiple channels to drive leads and sales pipeline
- Partner with sales and other stakeholders to identify our target customers and distributors; creating demand generation campaigns to acquire new leads
- Leverage insights in customer personas, buying journeys, and other deep analytics to inform automated campaigns
- Collaborate with sales leadership and marketing peers to create and gain consensus for go-to-market plans and marketing plays in alignment with sales directives
- Create, manage, and implement marketing campaigns & tactics to drive objectives, including paid media & industry sponsorships, paid social media, email marketing, SEO / SEM strategy, lead nurture & lead scoring and other demand generation tactics as identified
- Identify innovative marketing and advertising tactics to encourage business growth
- Establish campaign KPIs and goals that tie to business objectives and strategic initiatives and provide updates to leadership
- Product Launch Go-to-Market
- Partner with Product Management and Marketing Operations team to execute product launch strategies, plans and goals
- Create and execute Demand Generation activities to support product launches
- Partner with sales leaders to identify and execute product launch communications, training and sales enablement resources
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE & EDUCATION:
- Bachelor's Degree required, major in marketing, business or communication and MBA preferred
- 8+ years of experience in Marketing (preferred B2B Digital Marketing and Demand Generation)
- Proven success in developing and executing demand-generation marketing strategies that deliver results
- Experience with digital marketing tools, including marketing automation, CRM, sales apps, etc.
- Strong cross-functional skills, able to manage complex projects involving multiple stakeholders
- Experience in sales or significant collaboration with sales teams is highly preferred
- Experience and ability to frequently provide clear and concise communication with executive leadership
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, including Excel and PowerPoint

- Proven success in collaborating with multiple individuals/roles/departments to achieve results
- Creativity and ability to generate innovative ideas to spur interest in and excitement at events
- Responsive and quick to react to new and urgent requests
