Advanced Flow Systems (AFS) includes the Liquid Controls and Corken branded products that make fluid transfer safe, accurate, and efficient.

Liquid Controls primarily provides metering, fluid handling and data ecosystem for truck-based custody transfer of high value fuels. We have product solutions to support other downstream oil and gas custody transfer applications as well. Corken offers a wide variety of industrial compression and pumping solutions for the processing, energy, and transport industries. Applications include rail tank car unloading, auto-gas filling stations, bulk plant pumps, delivery truck, and transport.

AFS employs over 200+ team members. Our headquarters is in Oklahoma City, OK with a sales/service office in Wheeling, IL, and remote office employees across the US.

The Marketing Manager is a key member of the AFS go-to-market team and responsible for defining target markets and "telling our product story" to end-users, distributors, and OEMs partners in the Oil, Gas, and Emerging Energy markets.

Responsibilities:

  • Build culture of Customer Centricity
    • Lead by example. Promote the IDEX values of Great Teams, Customer Obsession, and Market Focus through 80:20 with both the Marketing team and other cross-functional team members.
    • Lead and coach team members on how to build market definitions including the role of end-users, distribution, and OEM partnerships in the go-to-market execution.
    • Collaborate with Marketing team, Management team, and Sales to apply 80:20 analysis to create focus on reaching the "80" Markets for the product's value proposition.
    • Build a culture of "Marketing Process" and "Value Selling".
    • Support Business Line Leaders by developing annual marketing campaigns and product story arcs then reporting monthly KPI results.
    • Build working relationships with cross-functional peers.
    • Identify and cultivate industry influencers to promote AFS brands.
  • Focus on and deliver results
    • Manage a small marketing team help promote the story of product value and support the Sales team achievement of the AFS annual plan for orders, sales, and profit.
    • Build market definitions including (Geographic heat maps, Company Names, and Opportunity Quantifications) for targeted selling program and annual plan goals. Deliver market definitions via CRM tools.
    • Build market economic value estimates (EVE). Measure value attainment for new product launches (and for existing products as needed).
    • Develop and deploy product story arcs using traditional and emerging marketing tools (online, tradeshows, industry events, targeted selling programs).
    • Use CRM tools to measure prospect and customer contact and results.
  • Build market expertise
    • Build relationships in the Oil, Gas, and Emerging energy markets.
    • Participate in industry events including tradeshows, expos, conferences, and industry meetings.
    • Build understanding of product solutions and value they deliver to end-users.
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or master's degree in Marketing (including Market Analytics) or equivalent work experience
  • 9+ Years successful experience in Analytics-Based Marketing
  • 7+ Years managing one or more marketing professionals
  • 7+ Years of experience marketing pumps, compressors, meters, registers
  • 5+ Years of experience marketing in Oil, Gas, Emerging Energy (or similar industry)
  • 5+ Years of experience implementing marketing campaigns to defined markets
  • 5+ Years of experience applying 80:20 analysis to build market focus
  • Effective communication skills, (verbal, written, and electronic)
  • Strong coaching and training ability
  • Strong organizational and project management skills

Supervisory Responsibility

Manages a team of 1 or 2 marketing professionals.

Work Environment

Exposure to manufacturing environment. Noise level may vary from moderate office environment to noisy/loud in the plant area. Proper use of safety equipment such as steel-toed shoes, goggles, safety glasses, gloves, apron, and face shield must be observed.

Total Rewards

The compensation range for this position is $89,800.00 - $134,800.00, depending on experience. This position may be eligible for performance based bonus plan.
