Our Marketing Manager - Walk Power Mowers is responsible for all product management activities for the residential walk behind mower product portfolio driving growth from the creation of customer value through comprehensive product life-cycle management on platforms including both gas and battery power. This position fosters collaborative relationships with leaders in Marketing, Sales, Engineering, and Integrated Supply Chain to maximize the value we can create for customers.
What Will You Do?
- Identify customer problems to be solved to shape product roadmaps containing both traditional and digital solutions.
- Identify and execute new product launches and business development opportunities in the residential markets with a focus on suburban and urban customers.
- Manage Profit and Loss (P&L) for assigned categories including providing leadership of category annual planning, retail promotions, and go-to market activities.
- Collaborate with key Engineering, Marketing, Sales, and Integrated Supply Chain partners to deliver sales, market share and category profit objectives.
- Manage and execute category product roadmap built directly from customer insights.
- Partner with Customer Care team to ensure alignment on Toro Total Care model.
- Establish and maintain relationships with mass channel and dealer sales personnel.
- Support calendar of retailer events including product line reviews, go-to marketing planning, and training events.
- Effectively present recommended objectives, strategies, action/product plans, and business policies to the division leadership team.
- Ensure alignment with leadership on strategies, key milestones, and project launch timing.
JOB DIMENSIONS:
- Lead cross-functional teams for residential walk behind mower product development, product launch and management efforts.
- Domestic and Canadian focus to include collaboration with international marketing team.
- Broad retailer interaction to include dealer, distributor, mass retail, and online partners.
- Partnership with other residential and enterprise product categories for successful product launches and sales channel execution.
- Up to 25% travel (mostly domestic)
What Do You Need?
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or related discipline and five plus years of marketing or product related experience (MM II)/seven plus years of marketing or product related experience (MM III); a Master's degree a plus.
- Experience managing complex projects, ambiguity and possesses the capability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, rapidly evolving environment.
- Preference given to candidates with demonstrated durable consumer goods experience.
- Strong interpersonal skills with demonstrated ability to deliver clear and concise communications to cross-functional teams and executives.
