Marketing Manager- US SCRUFF

Perry Street Software is hiring a Marketing Manager focused on supporting and growing the SCRUFF app. We are looking for an ambitious and hands-on individual who thrives in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

WHAT YOU’LL DO FOR MARKETING:

• Research possible event partnerships throughout USA/Canada.
• Train to negotiate and manage partnerships.
• Manage events remotely and in-person. Some travel to produce events in person is required.
• Research non-event partnerships. For example, TV show sponsorships, original video content, charity or sports team collaborations.
• Help design and source SCRUFF merchandise for both giveaways and SCRUFF Store. Research designers and artists to collaborate with.
• Assist with SCRUFF Store product updates (using Shopify) and managing Store Support emails.
• Collaboratively find new and creative ways to market SCRUFF in the US and Canada.

WHO YOU ARE:

• Experience in events or nightlife would be useful.
• Strong knowledge of Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator.
• Proven graphic design skills.
• Strong interest in LGBTQ+ culture and the current queer conversation.
• Able to bring creative solutions, unexpected ideas and a strong point of view.
• Strong sense of ownership, ability to work independently, reliable and proven track record of managing projects.
• Able to attend and manage event activations and respond to unforeseen issues/problems.
• Superb professional communication and interpersonal skills.
• A creative, resourceful, and enthusiastic person who enjoys collaborating in teams.
• Excellent researching skills e.g. where to get SCRUFF products made, what type of process (knitted or printed), prices, location which might affect delivery.
• A friendly, professional, and outgoing brand ambassador.

Position Type: Part-time Contract (20-30 hours per week)

Compensation Range: $40-$50/hour
