Marketing Operations Associate

Duolingo is the most popular language-learning application in the world, with over 500 million users and over half a billion exercises completed daily. Beyond our core learning product, we have also entered into literacy with Duolingo ABC and English proficiency testing with the Duolingo English Test.

This role reports into the Marketing Operations team, works across various teams, and acts as the main Marketing liaison to our Finance team.

You will…

• Support the Marketing planning and budgeting process
• Support the forecasting and reporting of the Marketing budget
• Act as the primary liaison between Marketing and FP&A
• Administrate our marketing budgeting tool
• Support the OKR planning process for the Marketing function
• Coordinate contract, vendor setup, and vendor payment activities
• Assist with ongoing budget, campaign, and project reporting needs

You have...

• 2+ years of experience in accounting business consulting or FP&A function
• Strong proficiency in Excel
• Good understanding of financial concepts including the difference between cash and accrual accounting
• Excellent interpersonal communications, organizational, and problem-solving skills
• Proven ability to build strong cross-functional relationships
• Meticulous organization and attention to detail
• Experience in evaluating and establishing tools, systems, and processes
• Enthusiastic about creating and maintaining budgets, project plans, and timelines
• Strong Google Suite skills
• Ability to relocate to or work in our Pittsburgh office

Exceptional candidates will have...

• Skills commensurate with a bachelor’s degree or higher in Business, Finance, Economics, or related field
• Experience in a fast-paced entrepreneurial environment
• Fluency in multiple languages and a passion for EdTech
