Marketing Operations & Communications Manager

Responsible for providing leadership, project management, design thinking and effective operating mechanisms to Abiomed Marketing organization in order to support Abiomed's mission of Recovering Hearts and Saving Lives
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Ensure execution of marketing operating mechanisms:
- Develop and maintain marketing performance metric dashboards, including, ACE Pro, SmartBrief, Abiomed Print, Veeva, tradeshow, campaign performance, etc)
- Dissemination of effective communications to the field
- Collection and analysis of field feedback
- Continuously enhance the effectiveness of ACE Pro to deliver content to the field
- Develops field training curriculum as it relates to commercial aspects
- Manage interface with key vendors to continuously enhance the level of service and manage costs
- Leverage knowledge of marketing and physician psychology to partner effectively with marketing managers and stakeholders to produce marketing tools and programs inspire, inform, and captivate customers and the field.
- Set process to evaluate and prioritize incoming projects
- In partnership with Graphic Designers (contractors, vendors or employees) delivers on:
- Creating visual text and imagery concepts to communicate ideas that inspire, inform, or captivate customers and the field.
- Maintaining brand book and style guidelines. Ensure voice is consistent across company assets
- Transforming statistical data into visual graphics and diagrams, which can make complex ideas more accessible.
- Developing the overall layout and production design for advertisements (digital and print), brochures, logos, displays, imagery, advertorials, banners, email blasts, etc.
- Developing sales tools, collateral, advertisement, and digital communications.
- In partnership with document curation team, ensures all Marketing documents are processed through our current MLR system in a timely manner and that they comply with regulations and company standards
- Continuously enhance and automate processes to improve level of service to content creators, and timely approval of documents
Requirements
- A minimum of 7 years marketing experience
- Knowledge of medical device market. Experience in the cardiology space preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to develop and enhance business processes
- Strong leadership and management skills
- Knowledge of design techniques, tools, and principles
- Effective prioritization to meet tight deadlines in an environment of competing priorities.
- Track record of executional successes. Can be counted on to achieve goals
- Ability to effectively influence and collaborate with multiple stakeholders.
- A bachelor's degree. Postgraduate degree is preferred.
- Domestic and international travel up to 15%.
