What you'll do:

Marketing Operations Manager 

Sound Agriculture seeks a Marketing Operations Manager to join our fantastic RevOps Team. This role conceptualizes, documents, and communicates scalable processes and ensures standard methodologies in lead generation, database management, and analysis across several marketing technology systems. In addition, the Marketing Operations Manager conducts data analysis to inform strategic decisions.

The Marketing Operations Manager position is engaging and hands-on, requiring capability of  operating and excelling both strategically and tactically. This is a critical cross-functional role that supports both Marketing and Sales that would be best suited for someone that has seen what successful operations looks like but always wanted to build it better, from the ground up as much of Sound’s systems and processes are greenfield or immature. The marketing ops manager drives the use of data and systems to help make operations more effective and efficient in resolving business decisions and challenges with data.

Responsibilities include development and optimization of marketing technology, marketing program operations (webinars, website, online advertising, field marketing, ABM programs, content syndication, nurture programs, direct marketing), development and optimization of end-to-end program reporting and analytics with focus on pipeline and revenue.

This role reports to the Director, Revenue Operations with a dotted line to our VP, Marketing.


Compensation Target

$106,000 to $115,000 base salary

10% bonus target

Bonuses are earned based on annual company and individual performance and are prorated based on start date. 

Sound reserves the ability to adjust the compensation range based on the final candidate’s experience, skillset, and geography. Responsibilities

  • Focus on strategy, design, execution, and operations of the business’s lead management processes, marketing databases, and marketing automation solutions
  • Understand and monitor the costs of marketing activities
  • Coordinate various ad campaigns, events, and other related activities
  • Be the person responsible for the marketing team’s tech stack, which currently includes Salesforce.com, Outreach, Zoominfo and more.
  • Work with demand generation to build & optimize:
    • Lead & Account scoring
    • Progressive profiling
    • Multi-touch attribution
    • Nurture programs
    • ABM programs
  • Work with sales development to measure SDR activity levels and ensure lead follow-up SLAs are measured and monitored.
  • Ensure leads contacts and accounts are assigned properly in all systems
  • Ensure integrations between CRM, marketing automation, sales automation and contact databases are always optimized to have the freshest contacts available in each system 
  • Set the standard for accuracy, clarity and transparency in marketing reporting. Take on the mission to give your marketing colleagues the best possible data-driven insights to improve their programs and drive Sound Agriculture faster and farther.

Targeted Skills & Experience

  • A passion for data, metrics, program design, reporting, and a depth of knowledge of marketing stack tools such as Pardot, Salesforce, Outreach.io, Hyros
  • Strong project management skills and experience managing multiple work streams
  • Transcendent knowledge in operations that facilitates scalability, predictability, and efficiency of Marketing Operations
  • Proven understanding of analyzing and interpreting information to formulate thorough and easily-consumed documentation on systems and processes
  • Experience working on high-visibility, high-impact projects; cross-functional relationships, and communication management comes effortlessly to you
  • Experience supporting B2B marketing and/or sales teams selling physical products
  • Marketing automation power user: expertise with email nurturing, lead scoring, lead routing, and data cleansing
  • SFDC power user: expert in creating Salesforce campaigns, views, reports, and dashboards
  • Advanced Excel user
  • Highly resourceful, self-motivated with a strong sense of ownership in areas of responsibility
  • Curious about where the data may lead. Obsessed with the details
  • Skilled in organizing and prioritizing competing time demands

Bonus Points For any of following:

  • Pardot certification
  • Outreach certification
  • SFDC administrator certification
  • Experience with HTML/CSS editing
  • SQL experience
