Why is this role important to Field Nation? 


The role of Marketing Operations Manager at Field Nation is threefold: integrate, maintain, and optimize the marketing technology infrastructure with an eye toward efficient, effective, and frictionless operation. As a technical and functional expert, you will work closely with the marketing department and cross-functional business partners to facilitate problem-solving and data-driven decision-making in support of Field Nation’s marketing and business objectives.

What you’ll do

  • Serve as the primary point of contact and escalation point for all Marketing technology, including but not limited to Hubspot, Drift, ChiliPiper, and PathFactory.
  • Work in close partnership with the Rev Ops team and other key stakeholders to oversee and manage the integrations between these applications and sales development solutions (Salesforce, ZoomInfo, Outreach).
  • Be the expert in our marketing systems to support Field Nation’s go-to-market motions.
  • Audit the use of marketing software tools with the goal of continually improving how they are configured.
  • Be the administrator of our marketing automation platform (Hubspot).
  • Own and oversee database management, performance, and quality—audience segmentation; list importing and building; data cleansing; enrichment, etc.—in support of segment, persona, and account-based marketing efforts. 
  • Create, maintain, and enhance processes for accurate flow and availability of data across platforms (Field Nation, Salesforce, and HubSpot).
  • Work with cross-functional teams to become an expert on the company’s lead funnel in order to help marketing and sales manage effective scoring, routing, attribution, and automation. Develop, document, maintain, and improve the marketing automation processes, programs, and workflows within Hubspot.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues. 
  • Consult on organizational best practices and provide governance for the marketing team.
  • Lead the team in training, documenting processes, and adherence to agreed-upon workstreams.
  • Proactively work to identify opportunities to optimize performance, improve data visibility and usage, and create operational efficiencies through process or technology improvements.
  • Create and manage project plans with clearly defined deliverables and resources, coordinate work streams and dependencies, track and communicate progress, and identify obstacles and ensure they are addressed.
  • Assist key business partners in measuring the effectiveness of marketing campaigns and marketing automation programs.
  • Develop strategy, build, and manage the opt-in process for Contacts. Ensure compliance with GDPR, SPAM, and other regulations.

What you’ll bring:

  • 5+ years of marketing experience, with a focus on B2B marketing and ABM operations, or 2+ years in a marketing operations role.
  • Hubspot certification or equivalent experience.
  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, or comparable education/experience.
  • Strong technical skills: experienced with modern marketing and sales development solutions such as Hubspot, Salesforce, ZoomInfo, Outreach, ChiliPiper, Drift, Demandbase/6sense.
  • Able to independently create reports, queries, workflows, etc.
  • Exemplary oral and written communication skills, including the ability to concisely present project deliverables.
  • Ability to work successfully with little guidance.
  • The ideal candidate is self-motivated, takes initiative, is highly organized, and possesses strong execution skills in a challenging, fast-paced environment.
  • Team player; Experience collaborating both within the marketing department and across teams/departments.
  • Often working closely with Senior Managers/Directors.
  • Solid understanding of the technical sales cycle, inbound methodology from lead to sale, and how marketing contributes to pipeline.
  • Strong project management capabilities, including the ability to accurately specify project timeframes, dependencies, and risk factors.
  • Process-oriented - both in following and improving existing processes as well as creating new ones.
  • Passion for metrics, reporting, and performance optimization. Strong background in data analytics, data management, and databases.
  • Problem-solver; excellent troubleshooting and organizational skills, ability to think strategically while implementing fast but also planning for scale and future needs
