ABOUT THIS POSITION

The Commercial Operations and Process Manager will partner with Commercial Operations leadership to manage system requirements for the Commercial Systems and Tools by pairing strong technical acumen with an understanding of Waystar's growth strategies. The ideal candidate will be knowledgeable about how sales and marketing operate to suggest and implement process automations to the sales systems. The role involves translating business requirements into system requirements, suggesting solutions, and enabling the development team to create innovative solutions. The role also requires a detailed understanding on the current Waystar integrations and enabling the technical team to further enhance or support them.

In addition, the Director is responsible for developing fact-based, data-driven insights and recommendations to guide better decision-making and higher ROI on all marketing programs. The successful candidate will use analytical thinking, data analysis, and cross-functional collaboration to optimize Waystar's digital programs that drive awareness, generate new prospects and advance existing opportunities.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

• Be a trusted advisor to commercial operations leadership by gathering requirements, organizing data, and producing dashboards to ensure alignment with Waystar's strategy • Own the structure, cleanliness, and validation of internal commercial data sets from multiple sources; serve as an internal data consultant and partner to sales, marketing, customer success, finance, and technology • Administer proactive analysis and drilldowns on business challenges, providing conclusions, recommendations of new data sources, and transforming into actionable information that create value for the organization • Define and communicate a common methodology for commercial metrics owned and monitored by cross-functional stakeholders • Manage non-technical maintenance of the sales systems for Sales and Marketing • Document all changes to the Salesforce and related systems that impact the team and work with Growth Enablement to build and deliver end-user training• Champion best practice and growth throughout the Commercial organization. Create user adoption program to promote usage of all sales systems• Maintain high-level familiarity with other business applications to recommend potential integrations• Creates and maintains technical guidance for sales systems • Proactively identify business issues and notify Leadership on any potential issues/concerns• Maintain and update the connections to third party data sources• Detect and correct corrupt or inaccurate data• All other duties and responsibilities as assigned

WHAT YOU'LL NEED

• 7-10 years of extensive and progressive experience in Commercial Systems such as Salesforce, CPQ, Conga, Outreach, Seismic and others • You live our values with a positive attitude and respect for others• Self-motivated, results-oriented individual with strong leadership, interpersonal and presentation skills• Problem resolution skills, strong initiative, and ability to create and improve processes• Ability to self-manage projects and follow-through to completion• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, ambitious environment• Ability to learn technical aspects of the commercial tools and Waystar solutions• You're comfortable in a fast-paced environment, enjoy working cross-functionally, want to leave a stamp on the organization, and are the type of person who gets things done• You have excellent written and verbal communication skills, with proficiency in Microsoft Office and PowerPoint• You are detail-oriented with the ability to rapidly learn and take advantage of new concepts, business models, and technologies• You are highly organized with the ability to prioritize and execute many concurrent tasks• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in business• Excellent organization with strong business acumen who takes the initiative and can work independently or within a team to achieve established goals

Preferred qualifications:• 10+ years of extensive and progressive experience in Commercial Systems• Knowledge of the software and technology industry preferred• Great business acumen and exceptional strategic thinking skills balanced with operational execution capabilities; demonstrated ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment • Creative with strong problem-solving skills, analytical and process mindset, and attention to detail • High performer with track record of exceeding performance expectations and metrics

The Growth team at Waystar preserves and expands our client base through a solid sales strategy. The department attracts new prospective clients, builds, and maintains current client relationships, improves profitability, and increases brand loyalty. Team members must possess a strong, consultative approach, while being able to effectively communicate the benefits of a cloud-based healthcare payments platform. The Growth department is split into two divisions: Health Systems + Hospitals (HS+H) and Ambulatory. The Health Systems + Hospitals division includes large health systems at a multi-level local or national scale. The Ambulatory division includes organizations such as provider groups and physician and specialty practices.
