Marketing Operations Manager

The team mandate is to help drive revenue and optimize efficiency across the revenue customer lifecycle. The team owns end-to-end strategy and execution, as well as the reporting and operational foundation, for Carta to continuously scale and grow.Â
In this role, you’ll help build and optimize Carta’s Marketing Operations processes to enable and empower Marketing leaders. You will work closely with Marketing, Sales Operations, Business Systems (IT), and Data (Eng) to help build and scale a world class operations foundation.
The Problems You’ll Solve- Partner with Marketing, Channel (law firm partners), Campaign Operations, Sales Operations, and Sales Development leaders to support demand generation, lead management, and measurementÂ
- Be a change management champion by using data to identify areas of improvements that could improve Marketing performance, team productivity, drive higher lead/pipe conversion, and accelerate revenue
- Develop processes and playbooks that shape our Marketing & Sales operations
- Scope complex projects translate business and platform requirements into marketing campaigns/MarTech logic
- Develop best practices approach for gathering and analyzing lead-related data to identify performance indicators, segment and prioritize & optimization strategies
- Manage multiple projects cross-functionally with multiple resources, preferably using Agile methodology. Negotiate priorities across organizations at all levels, and execute against a work plan. You communicate deliverables regularly and avoid preventable fire drills
- Execute on data-driven insights to improve Marketing performance, including owning the analysis, defining objectives, and problem solving cross-functionally to achieve short and long term results
- Proactively drive continuous improvement for process optimization, process redesign, or development of new process/policies
- Drive operational effectiveness by leveraging industry best practices and design process, tool, and dashboard improvements to scale our high-growth business
- Champion, exemplify, and embed Carta’s operating principles (we act as owners, solve problems, bias to action, seek to simplify) as we scale
- 8+ years of relevant experience in marketing operations with progressively increasing responsibility, complexity, and scale of work. B2B SaaS, fintech experience a plus
- Strategic, structured thinker. Strong analytical skills and business acumen. Aptitude for framing business questions with data, translating business needs into strategies, and bias to action and process improvements
- Results driven self starter with the ability to multitask. Skilled at analyzing, prioritizing, and solving complex problems effectively and consistently
- You are effective and adaptable in an unstructured, ambiguous environment requiring new perspectives, creative approaches, and competing deadlines
- Proven track record of leading change management, building aligned tooling, and developing methods to execute with urgency on projects both big and small, with an ownership mentality
- Effective, clear, and concise communication skills, verbal and written. Ability to communicate the right level of information to executives and cross-functional teams at the right cadence. Ability to communicate data into meaningful insight
- Clear understanding of marketing funnels and related measures and metrics
- Experience with database hygiene and excellence such as segmentation and measurements
- Proven ability to partner with Marketing, Data, and Business Systems/IT teams
- Advanced experience working with Salesforce, Marketo, and other MarTech integrations. Familiarity with systems (Bizible, Looker/BI tools a plus)
