What You'll Bring:

• In-house or corporate legal experience in adtech or technology experience with knowledge of digital advertising, ideally providing advertising product counseling and transactional support
• J.D., membership in at least one US state bar, and 6+ years of relevant experience as an adtech or marketing privacy attorney or relevant legal, policy, or technical positions
• Familiarity with NAI, IAB, or other relevant advertising or marketing self-regulatory or advocacy organizations
• Keen understanding of the changing landscape of global adtech and marketing privacy laws, regulations and guidance, and experience implementing the intricacies of global privacy laws, particularly including those relevant for ad tech and marketing
• Understanding of online advertising business models and technologies
• Experience reviewing new products and services to evaluate privacy and data use risks
• Experience advancing projects in a multi-stakeholder environment
• Experience using business judgment, being proactive, practical, and analytical in client counseling
• Experience prioritizing work, providing advice under deadlines, problem-solving, demonstrating strong attention to detail, while under limited to zero oversight
• Excellent interpersonal and verbal/written communication skills
• Ability to communicate difficult legal concepts, anticipate potential objections, and persuade senior business leaders to adopt a different point of view
• Ability to foster relationships and become a trusted business partner
• High level of ethics and integrity in professional matters, sensitivity for confidentiality, and respect for individuals
• International Association of Privacy Professionals (IAPP) CIPP or similar certifications are preferred
• Experience with OneTrust preferred.
• Support the mission of the Chief Privacy Office as needed

Impact You'll Make:

• Serve as subject matter expert for global adtech and marketing privacy laws, analyzing complex questions resulting from privacy assessments of new or enhanced TU adtech and marketing products, and helping evaluate risk for business units and senior leadership across various internal functions and subsidiaries
• Advise on implementation of new or changed privacy regulations relating to adtech and marketing
• Escalation point for advice on day-to-day compliance with existing privacy regulations relating to adtech and marketing
• Provide privacy legal advice for global adtech and marketing initiatives
• Monitor for changes in adtech and marketing regulatory landscape around privacy and data protection
• Evaluate adtech and marketing items of potential high privacy risk for further escalation to the Enterprise Risk Management Committee
• Provide legal support for adtech and marketing privacy-related consumer complaints
• Review and approve adtech and marketing privacy training as necessary
