Marketing Project Manager

A Marketing Project Manager is responsible for leading a team of professionals in completing projects by a set deadline to uphold business initiatives. Over the course of a project, the Marketing Project Manager will need to communicate with staff and internal clients, make decisions and monitor the progress of the project to keep it on schedule. They will plan and organize project budgets, timelines, the scope of work, and more. They serve as the liaison between the creative team and the internal client to establish expectations.

Important responsibilities for a Marketing Project Manager include:

  • Manage all project requests coming into department and gather information and attend meetings, if needed, to receive more information
  • Enter in all projects via our project management software, Function Fox, with details and assign to appropriate person or team
  • Follow up, track deadlines, check on progress and give updates on projects
  • Create Function Fox reports on projects
  • Coordinate what needs done for events and keep a task list and assign duties
  • Schedule video and photoshoots, interviews, etc. and assist with reserving equipment and lining up associates and locations
  • Schedule installs with external vendors on signage
  • Assist in hiring freelance help when needed
  • Track and loan out equipment within the department
  • Manage our branding website orders and filter those to the vendor
  • Order supplies and manage the department credit card, track all expenses each month
  • Receive all incoming department invoices and pay; set up new vendors with accounts payable when needed
  • Maintain website subscriptions and payment/invoicing
  • Excellent social and communication skills
  • Strong time management and prioritization skills and experience working well under tight deadlines.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to deliver creative solutions on the spot.
  • Ability to build positive relationships with key partners including clients in a professional manner.
  • Required: Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Powerpoint) for communication purposes
  • Experience with Function Fox or a project management software system a plus
  • Knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite a plus, but not necessary
  • Marketing experience a plus
