Production Manager

As the Production Manager, you will be responsible for the timely and accurate deployment of all print communications promoting the company and its products to various audience segments. The Production Manager must be able to understand the scope of work, the deliverables, timing, and the satisfaction of stakeholders as well as manage external partner relationships (e.g., printers). The ideal candidate is extremely organized, deadline driven, and detail-oriented with very strong communication skills.

You will work on a variety of recurring and point-in-time projects with our marketing team and vendor partners. The ideal candidate is a proactive individual, who can process, react to, and solve problems as they arise on tight deadlines in a team environment while maintaining a superior level of quality. The candidate should also have excellent interpersonal and communication skills, working cross-functionally with internal partners will be of the upmost importance to filling this role successfully.

Responsibilities & Duties

  • Ensuring the production process, from beginning to end, is efficiently executed with positive results
  • Collaborate with marketing team and management to understand project goals and objectives
  • Coordinate production of all printed materials
  • Communicate with internal stakeholders regarding needs/requirements and status of projects
  • Partner with cross-functional teams such as Data, Ops, and IT to access and manage data necessary for print projects
  • Ensuring quality and accuracy of packaged art files prior to upload
  • Proof materials for accuracy
  • Serving as the main point of contact for external partners (e.g. printers), supervise the bid and negotiation process, while holding them accountable to SLAs and compliance standards
  • Communicate with internal stakeholders regarding project requirements, timelines, and the status of creative requests
  • Prepare final files for print and digital distribution, including (but not limited to) packaging working files, exporting PDFs, and preparing layouts to meet publication or printer specs
  • Support creative work of vendors, troubleshoot production related issues

Additional Requirement:

  • Degree in graphic design, visual design, marketing or communications
  • At least 3 - 7 years' of print & digital production experience
  • Familiarity with prepress process and requirements
  • Understanding of and experience with data-driven production related to direct mail/automated marketing
  • Proficient in Adobe CC applications (including, but not limited to, Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Premier, Acrobat)
  • Familiar with project management platforms and updating status of work product (e.g. Monday.com)
  • Previous agency experience desired (but not required)
