Position Summary
Avantax Wealth Management, a subsidiary of Blucora and sister company to Avantax Planning Partners and TaxAct, is seeking a Marketing & Sales Operations Analyst II thatwill support the Marketing and Sales teams, with a focus on understanding the key priorities of the business. You will regularly explore various customer data points with the goal of identifying actionable insights. The ideal candidate understands marketing channels and is passionate about identifying new marketing opportunities using known data. You'll also own marketing campaign performance reporting, and partner closely with the Marketing Technology team to identify new data sources to enhance our insights and improve marketing's performance.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities

- Marketing and Sales KPI measurement and insights.
- Track and report sales pipeline performance and partner with Marketing to optimize lead quantity and quality.
- Partner with Data, Analytics, Finance, and Sales on projects aligned with departmental goals.
- Document procedures and best practices.
- Help to uncover high-value customer segments and then provide actionable reviews of customer/prospect segmentation.
- Apply statistical analysis to marketing data, developing actionable insights and reports for stakeholders.
- Create or streamline Tableau dashboards to monitor marketing channels and communicate performance.
- Partner with stakeholders and shared services to ingest required data to be utilized in various marketing channels and technology stacks.
- Work with stakeholders to identify new KPIs to evaluate marketing performance.
- In addition to working on strategic projects, you will perform ad hoc analyses with a focus on driving revenue growth.
- Bring rigor to A/B tests and marketing campaign measurement.
- Employ data visualization to effectively communicate marketing insights.
- Partner with the Marketing Technology team to implement campaign tracking in CRM (Salesforce), Marketing Automation (Marketing Cloud), Social measurement, and Digital marketing systems.
Education & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in a related field (BA/BS degree in business, statistics, economics, data science, or related).
- Prefer 5+ years of Marketing and/or Sales Operations experience (or similar background).
- Experience with relational databases and associated tools.
- Experience using Power BI, Tableau, or other industry-leading business intelligence platforms.
- Understanding of data warehousing and multi-touch attribution models is a plus.
- Experience with Google Analytics.
- Experience measuring and evaluating paid media campaigns.
- Experience with storytelling through data to influence stakeholders and manage expectations.
- Detail-oriented, ability to multi-task, prioritize and quickly change priorities.
- Ability to adapt to changing technology and processes.
- Experience in financial services is a valuable plus.
- Experience with Excel, and relational databases. and associated tools.
