Marketing Science Director
Job Description
As a Marketing Science Director, you're a data-driven wizard with never-ending curiosity and a knack for transforming raw numbers into meaningful insights. You'll play a crucial role in developing and implementing data collection strategies for digital experiences and campaigns. You'll work closely with multidisciplinary teams and our clients to understand their business objectives and translate them into meaningful analytics strategies that drive real results. You'll use cutting-edge analytics tools to create custom reporting visualizations, drive real-time personalization, and execute test & learn optimizations that provide actionable insights to clients. Additionally, you'll lead a team of digital analysts and provide guidance and mentorship to help them grow and develop their skills.
You will:
- Define the measurement and data activation strategy for digital experiences and campaigns
- Manage a team of analysts and provide guidance and mentorship to help them grow and develop their skills
- Work directly with senior clients to understand their business objectives and translate them into meaningful data strategies
- Collaborate closely with other teams (such as UX design, tech, and content) to ensure that analytics is integrated effectively into all digital experiences
- Communicate complex analytics concepts and insights to clients in a clear and concise manner, and provide recommendations for action
- Use empirical practice in digital experience design and optimization
- Leverage machine learning and AI to develop and refine models for real-time personalization of digital experiences
- Identify opportunities for automation and efficiency gains across digital marketing campaigns and experiences
- Creatively solve problems, improve processes, and design methodically
You have:
- 10+ years in the marketing industry measuring digital campaigns with a proven track record of delivering measurable results
- 5+ years in the online measurement industry including managing teams
- Proven team and project management skills including training and staff development
- Strong collaboration, project management, and team building skills
- Expertise in digital analytics tools such as Google Analytics and Adobe Analytics
- Experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau
- Strong analytical skills and the ability to turn data into insights
- Excellent communication and presentation skills to a variety of audiences, including creative, tech, media, project management, account, and client teams
- Mentorship and management skills for team members in Toronto and remote as required
- Proficiency in current issues and trends within the online marketing industry with an emphasis on emerging media and mobile platforms
- A thirst for staying up-to-date with the latest trends and technologies in machine learning, AI, real-time personalization, and other digital marketing activations to ensure that the agency is always delivering cutting-edge solutions for clients
- An insatiable curiosity and sense of humour
