Summary
United States Department of Agriculture, Agricultural Marketing Service, Dairy Program, Federal Milk Market Administrator falls under the Excepted Service.
This position will be filled in the 1146 Marketing Specialist series.

- Direct Deposit of Pay is required.
- There is a required one-year probationary period.
- This is a non-bargaining unit position.
- The selectee's pay will be set between pay bands MA 11-12
Qualifications
MA 11-12
Education: Must have a bachelor's degree in marketing, economics, business administration, agriculture, agricultural economics, agricultural business, accounting, statistics, mathematics, or dairy science.
OR
Professional Experience Qualification Requirements: Have the appropriate years of general experience required for the grade level as follows: MA 11- 2½ years; MA-12-3 years. General experience is any progressively responsible experience in one or more aspects of agricultural marketing functions such as distribution, inspection, storage, transportation, merchandising, standardizing etc. The duties and responsibilities should have equipped the applicant with the knowledge, skills and abilities to perform at the grade level of the position to be filled
Part-time or unpaid experience: Credit will be given for appropriate unpaid and or part-time work. You must clearly identify the duties and responsibilities in each position held and the total number of hours per week.
Volunteer or unpaid experience: Refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service Programs (i.e., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student and social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge and skills that can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
Education
Education Requirements: You must provide transcripts or other documentation to support your educational claims.
