Your Opportunity
The landscape of student housing is changing, and Scion is at the forefront. Our Marketing Specialists will be responsible for executing our vision. The goal of a Marketing Specialist is to support the leasing performance of Scionβs student housing communities as a counterpart role to our Sales Specialists and Sales Managers. This role specializes in advising on and deploying tactics related to lead generation through both promotional and digital marketing.
This Marketing Specialist is tactical and calculated in their approach to supporting the outbound marketing efforts of each uniquely diverse community. Critical thinking and excellent communication skills will be key in a fast-paced, agile, corporate environment where crucial decisions must be executed in real-time. This role consists of managing multiple projects with goals and deadlines that are expected to be met in timely and consistent manner, all with minimal guidance to accomplish tasks. The role requires a customer-centric attitude, an adaptable vison, and advertising prowess.

Your Responsibilities
Marketing and Advertising
- Review, manage and execute digital advertising campaigns in partnership with agency partners.
- Coordinate with home office and property partners to ensure campaigns are cohesive across all online or in-person channels.
- Assist in developing property outbound marketing calendars each month with operations and sales leaders to ensure teams can hit lead generation goals.
- Evaluate the metrics of performance for digital advertising and guerilla marketing in order to help teams set lead generation goals.Β
- Coach teams on use of standardized tactics as set in the Scion Playbook.
Prospect Acquisition and Lead Generation
- Support leasing efforts by acquiring prospective residents through paid and unpaid advertising, email, campus promotions, or other initiatives.
- Help set and monitor lead generation goals set for each community based upon leasing performance and need.
- Understand the results driven by each lead sourcing initiative and possess the ability to replicate initiatives across diverse communities and markets.
- Work collaboratively with internal and external teams to source appropriate marketing materials, communicate updates, and ensure all support requests are fulfilled.
- Proactively explore new platforms and activities specifically geared to our target audience that can serve as opportunities for lead sourcing.
Reporting and Consulting
- Review, understand and interpret advertising results to identify successes and areas of opportunity.
- Possess the ability to articulate the results and report observations and areas of opportunity to stakeholders.
- Liaise with external vendors for the organization to understand what advertising strategies are available and present this information to internal teams to maximize results.
What We Require
- College graduate preferred, with 1-2 years of marketing or advertising experience or comparable internship experience.
- Proficiency in basic marketing principles and channels is preferred; goal to stay current with these principles and trends.
- Demonstrates strong organizational and problem-solving skills, and strong attention to detail.
- Preferred experience with paid search and social advertising.
