Description
The Manager, Marketing Strategy leads a team of Marketing Strategists and is responsible for analyzing our market segments, the customers we serve, and the products and services we provide. Working closely with our product marketing, field sales, customer relations and support teams, this role will develop, manage, and evaluate the strategy for our marketing efforts. This role will collaborate closely with the Creative Solutions and Customer Interactions teams within the same group, ensuring adaptation of this strategy into visual communications, content strategy, and delivery
Key Responsibilities
- Develops and manages the execution of our marketing strategy including promotion of the company's brand, products, services, and other segment-targeted marketing efforts.
- Evaluates marketing efforts performance, success, and return on investment to calculate a final value to the company and provide a recommendation for future investments.
- Manages the strategy and plan for segment-specific customer experiences and campaigns to be marketed and promoted through all marketing efforts.
- Applies a strong understanding of product and services knowledge within all market segments to the creation, coordination, and implementation of marketing solutions to support sales efforts that align with the company's key strategic initiatives.
- Manages projects initiated by various internal departments ensuring consistent and accurate messaging against an identified ROI to meet promotional and customer needs.
- Seeks and implements innovative and strategic measures for the development of new product materials and market promotions to develop appropriate messaging and delivery methods into designated market segment.
- Manages and executes trade show activities related to pre-show preparation, booth staff selection and scheduling, attendee invitations, lead management, and post-show reporting.
- Works collaboratively with peer business teams as needed to obtain customer buying tendencies, wants, and needs; applies this market research strategically in all marketing efforts.
- Gathers input and maintains market research data as necessary related to competitor products, trends, new product adoption, innovative technologies being considered, and new regulations
- Upholds and adheres to company brand strategy; helping ensure consistent messaging across all customer experiences.
- Manages spending within designated market segments to align with overall approved budget.
- Coordinates and evaluates appropriate and regular use of Voice of Customer exercises.
- Develops and continuously refines customer profiles for each market segment and ensures our marketing strategy appropriately targets these customers.
- Performs other related duties as required or assigned.

Skills and Abilities
- Ability to formulate creative strategy and set direction for all marketing channels.
- Demonstrates excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Demonstrates experience and knowledge in best practices in product marketing as related to each specific marketing channel.
- Demonstrates strong project management skills in order to meet multiple deadlines; strong analytical, organizational, and time management skills, as well as excellent interpersonal skills.
- Relies on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.
- Works independently within a fast-paced, dynamic, team-oriented environment.
- Ability to travel up to 20% of calendar year attending industry trade shows, customer events, and company meetings.
Education and Experience
- Bachelor's degree in business communications, marketing, public relations, or a related field (required).
- Three to five years of relevant experience in marketing, advertising, public relations, or a related field (required).
Computer Skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and computer based productivity tools required.
- CRM experience highly desirable.
- Microsoft SharePoint experience highly desirable.
