Marketing Technology Solution Architect
As part of the Global Marketing Technology organization, this position will play a critical role in developing solutions that create engaging digital experiences, drive customer demand, and enhance MetLife's Digital Marketing maturity. We are looking for an experienced marketing technology architect who thrives in a fast paced environment, enjoys complex architectural solutions, and is passionate about enhancing our digital marketing footprint. In this role, you will work closely with lines of business across the globe to identify technology opportunities and deliver actionable architectural solutions. The Marketing Technology is growing every day with over 15,000 platforms in the industry. The ideal candidate has intimate knowledge of platform leaders and relishes in how MetLife can leverage the right technologies to enhance marketing decisions.
List of Responsibilities

  • MarTech Platform Landscape: Must have proven experience in platform selection with the ability to quickly identify SaaS solutions that enable business use cases. Must be able to show why one platform is a better choice over another on the market.
  • Technology Solutions: Translate business strategies and OKRs into architectural solutions, with the ability to identify tech features & integrations that are fit for purpose. Play a technical role in evaluating new business feature requests, considering the current and future marketing technology landscape.
  • Platform Landscape: Experience with assessing the maturity of the marketing technology stack and ability to provide improvement recommendations. Ability to create solution roadmaps for scale.
  • Data Expertise: Experience with complex data structures, data modeling, and customer/lead databases. Ability to provide best practice guidance to the MarTech engineering team on data management and API integrations.
  • Marketing Applications: Working knowledge of key digital marketing capabilities including account based marketing, data management, marketing analytics, marketing automation and orchestration, decision/offer engines, personalization, multi-channel activation, marketing attribution, and customer engagement. Experience with Adobe Experience Cloud is strongly preferred.
  • Strategic Growth: Provide thought leadership to create an environment that fosters innovations and drives the business forward in maturity to build a world-class Marketing Technology shared-services practice.
  • Software Development: Lead decisions on the design, development, and test & learn cycles of ongoing projects, metrics, marketing toolsets, dashboards, etc. to drive key business results.


Required Experience

  • 8+ years experience in Marketing Technology engineering with software architecture experience.
  • 5+ years experience in architecting customer experiences.
  • 5+ years experience in the following Marketing Technology domains: Digital Marketing Platforms, Marketing Operations Technologies, Middleware for Digital Marketing, Backend Platforms for Digital Marketing, Social Marketing, Digital Marketing Infrastructures.
  • 2+ years experience working directly with strategic business leaders.


Preferred Experience

  • Bachelor or Master's degree in a related technology discipline.
  • 2+ years experience in the following platforms: Adobe Experience Manager, Adobe Target, Adobe Analytics, Adobe Experience Platform (CDP), Adobe Campaign, Marketo, Medallia, Decibel, Sprinklr.
  • Strong understanding of the Marketing Technology landscape with an ability to articulate and navigate the breadth of solutions and partners in this field.
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a global environment with matrix organizational management.
  • Communications and presentation master, with the ability to articulate complex technology designs at all levels of the organization.
  • Experience in technology transformations, either within global organizations or through start-up companies leading transformative shifts.
  • Experience integrating marketing applications with other enterprise applications, as well as internal and external data sources.
  • Exposure to user experience design and best practices
  • Start-up minded, with a lean towards action and test & learn practices.
