Internship Description:

The Training and Development Intern will assist the department with performing essential tasks, as well as a wide range of projects, including but not limited to, training content development, delivery, and organization. This internship is designed to be both educational and practical. The intent is that the intern gains a better understanding of the role that training and development plays in a business. In this position, the intern will learn how to take skills they have acquired in school and apply them in a professional setting.

Internship Learning Objectives/Task Goals:

  • Coordinates and processes day-to-day website data maintenance and information to execute departmental tasks as assigned.
  • Learn how to update postings and remove material on company website and how to audit public listing sites for accuracy.
  • Maintains and reconciles internal systems such as CRM, Box, SharePoint, Rently, Primo and Yardi accordingly to ensure data is correct and representative of source materials provided by departmental Asset Management team members.
  • Collaborates with Marketing, Asset Management, and Property Management departments regarding inventory changes and communicates updates pertaining to rental status progress.
  • Follows all organizational systems, programs, training, policies, and procedures as required and complies with relevant legal mandates. Seeks guidance as necessary.
  • Carries out all responsibilities in an honest, ethical, and professional manner.
  • Handles various other duties as delegated by direct supervisor/management.

Minimum Education/Skills/Experience/Credentials:

  • Intermediate data entry/typing skills.
  • Intermediate experience in social media listening, insights tools, analytics, reporting.
  • Excellent planning and organizational skills.
  • Demonstrates winning social customer service techniques such as empathy, patience, advocacy, and conflict resolution principles to mitigate issues.
  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.
  • Strong customer, quality, and results orientation.
  • Must be interested in active customer engagement and experience.
  • Ability to be an effective member of project teams.
  • Must be able to maintain confidentiality.
  • Intermediate working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint),
  • Must have completed a minimum of 2 years of university coursework with a major or concentration in English, Communications, IT, Marketing, Media, and Liberal Arts, and/or related field required.

This is a paid internship however, AH4R does not provide housing, relocation, or transportation assistance.
