General Summary:

The Writer is responsible for helping to deliver smart, strategic and creative copy solutions for Marketing collateral and programs.

Principal Duties & Responsibilities

• Develops ideas in partnership designers and business partners.
• Supports the timely delivery of collateral to business partners.
• Writes web copy for the main company web sites and interactive content elements.
• Develops product message and descriptive feature copy for solution marketing collateral and interactive sales tools.
• Contributes to the overall creative process - offers input and shares ideas.
• Responsible for delivering strategic content/copy for single-focus program elements.
• Contributes throughout the development and execution of larger scale program initiatives as needed.
• Assists in the development of style guidelines including tone and manner for all media as needed.
• Works in conjunction with designers to maintain copy components of approved templates and ensure brand toolkit resource remains up-to-date.
• Responsible for reviewing, editing and proofreading new content prior to release.
• Contributes to developing high priority/important communication pieces.
• Works with outside agencies and internal teams to ensure consistency of strategy and execution when necessary.
• Partner with Compliance to ensure the accuracy and regulatory requirements are met.
• May perform other duties as assigned.

Job Specifications

• College degree in journalism, communications, English or a related field
• 3 - 5 years of full-time writing and content production experience overall, including: 1 - 3 years writing for web sites and/or interactive experience design; 1 - 3 years writing web copy designed for SEO and improved organic engagement; 1- 3 years writing product descriptive copy for marketing collateral and/or sales tools.
• Solid understanding of web copy best practices and how copy impacts and supports overall web design.
• Solid understanding of SEO content writing best practices and the ability to integrate them into a variety of web properties
• Must have solid writing, editing and creative skills in both traditional and digital media
• Thrive in fast paced environment and is a quick study - ability to take strategy and run with it creatively
• Passionate for the art of idea development and all things creative
• Works well independently as well as in a team environment
• High level of initiative and drive to succeed
• Reliable knowledge of AP style
• Meets the standards for this position, as defined in the Talent Management framework

The base salary range for applicants for this position is listed below. Unless actual salary is indicated above in the job description, actual pay will be based on skill, geographical location and experience.

$51,300.00-$89,800.00
