A Brief Overview
Plans and coordinates the development of communications and materials for internal and external audiences to support SHC's strategic goals and objectives. Creates content, manages a variety of projects supporting the dissemination of communicaitons (i.e., newsletters, brochures, manuals, websites, etc.). Edits and facilitates the final production of publications working with outside vendors. May support the implementation of marketing strategies and conducts primary and secondary market research and makes recommendations.

What you will do

- Writes original copy and manages web publishing of content. Responsible for content development for digital and traditional platforms.
- Develops collaborative working relationships with internal and external customers, resources and vendors (e.g. physicians, clinic managers, vendors, media, etc) to facilitate the development and implementation of marketing and communication materials.
- Manages all aspects of SHC's employee print publication, Stanford Health Care People.
- Manages the planning, copy writing and execution of special campaigns to target groups such as physicians, consumers, and others.
- May organize, design, and conduct relevant market research (primary and secondary) to support marketing recommendations.
- Participate in all aspects of media relation activities including, responding to media inquires and arranging and coordinating interviews with key hospital personnel.
- Reviews, edits and coordinates final production of including working with outside vendors such as graphic designers, printers and photographers.
- Maintains close collaborative relationships and partners with key functional areas that require internal communications strategic planning, content development and implementation.
- Plans, researches, writes and edits content for Stanford Health Care on a variety of topics such as organizational news and events, business initiatiaves, new clinic/facility openings, employee profiles, services, and programs.
- Reviews, edits and coordinate the final production of printed publications and online content produced by the Internal Communications department.
Education Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in a work-related discipline/field from an accredited college or university.
- Or Equivalent experience
Experience Qualifications
- Two to five years of experience in internal communications preferred. Required experience and background in web publishing, Microsoft SharePoint 2016, Adobe Photoshop and email marketing tools, such as Constant Contact. Preferred experienced using web and video analytics tools.
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Write, research, edit and produce original copy.
- Ability to establish and meet deadlines and handle multiple priorities.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to work effectively with a cross-functional team in a diverse environment.
- Experience and understanding of the day-to-day operations of a communications department.

Base Pay Scale: Generally starting at $42.04 - $54.66 per hour
The salary of the finalist selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to, internal equity, experience, education, specialty and training. This pay scale is not a promise of a particular wage.
