We have an opportunity at our corporate offices in Chicago for a Marketing/Design Specialist on our Marketing and Membership Experience team. This is a hybrid position reporting into our Chicago, IL office, requiring 2 days a week in the office.
As a Marketing/Design Specialist, you will develop creative materials that promote AMAmembership and enhance communications with members, prospective members, andother important constituencies and stakeholders. You will manage assigned projects andworks with vendors to ensure quality.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Develops creative materials that promote AMAmembership and enhance communications with members, prospective members and otherimportant constituents. Analyzes market research and appropriately integratesinto concepts. Develops messaging to identified target segments.
- Conducts project management for marketingactivities within the membership business unit, working with copywriters,production specialists and vendors.
- Manages and prepares files and materials forprint.
- Works as a part of a creative team to identifytarget segments, develop strategy, and provide general input to all marketingprojects pertaining to AMA membership.
May include other responsibilities as assigned
REQUIREMENTS:
- Associate's Degree in graphic or fine arts required with concentration in direct marketingpreferred.
- Bachelor's Degree in graphic or fine arts required withconcentration in direct marketing preferred.
- 6-10 years progressively responsible marketingdesign experience with exposure to direct marketing principles-creativestrategy, testing strategy.
- Experience managing the creative developmentprocess with both individuals and teams.
- Conceptual thinker who can develop and executecreative ideas in effective design.
- Strong working knowledge of marketingcommunications, advertising and writing preferred.
- Experience working with creative team members,i.e. creative directors, copywriters, production managers, photographers.
- Strongworking knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite: InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop,Lightroom, Dreamweaver and Acrobat
- Workingknowledge of Salesforce Marketing Cloud. Use existing email templates,manipulate HTML code, adding links, alter image/text blocks, upload graphicsplaced in appropriate image libraries.
- Good pre-press and printing knowledge required.Knowledge of Web advertising/ promotion design preferred.
- Ability to work in changing, fast-pacedenvironment with proven ability to meet deadlines.
- Self-starter who is comfortable working onmultiple complex projects simultaneously.
- Detail-oriented, versatile and creativeprofessional with excellent organizational skills.
- Team player with excellent interpersonal skills.
