About Us For 30 years, Diamond Landscaping has been the leader in luxury residential landscaping for high-net-worth clients, including A-list celebrities and media/entertainment executives, in the Los Angeles area. With a focus on custom installation, meticulous craftsmanship, and long-term maintenance, we create dream landscapes and build lifelong relationships. We are currently searching for a knowledgeable Mason who will be responsible for building, installing, and repairing different structures using a variety of types of materials, including concrete, brick, wood, and steel. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: • Evaluate blueprints and plans, prepare property, and complete projects according to budget. • Effectively use and train others on the use of hand, electric, or pneumatic tools. • Ensure all safety precautions (including use of proper PPE) and high-quality standards are met on all jobs and at all times. • Ensure job sites are consistently maintained and in "camera-ready" condition at all times. • Accurately calculate quantities of required materials and proactively order supplies, ensuring that all team members have the necessary items and that work is able to proceed according to plans. • Complete all necessary paperwork, such as time cards, safety reports, daily work reports, promptly. • Practice proper excavation techniques, locate utilities, and notify applicable agencies, such as "Dig Alert." • Ensure the safekeeping of company-issued tools and vehicles, and ensure proper maintenance is completed. • Report to Management any deviations or discrepancies between actual worksite and what blueprints/plans dictate. • Will partner with various teams and work on other projects/jobs as needed. Qualifications and Requirements: • Able to perform physical outdoor activities that require the use of arms, legs, and the moving of the entire body, such as lifting, balancing, bending, stooping, and handling of materials. • Dependable, punctual, organized, and detailed. • Experience working in landscape maintenance, landscape construction, building, general contracting, or related. • Strong verbal and written communication skills, able to positively interact and communicate with co-workers, supervisors, and owners/agents. • Knowledge of standard safety policies and procedures. • Must have own transportation and valid, unexpired CDL.
