Job Description Summary

Develop and monitor plant performance by developing chart/paretos and present this data to the plant leadership with proposed action plans. Provide side-by-side SAP training and job aids to plant associates across functions as needed. Monitor C2C curriculums and manage instrument plant training plans and effectiveness. Provide sustaining master data support to plant by updating BOMs / ROUTERs / BOM DOC LINKs / STORAGE LOCATIONS / securing new SAP PART NUMBERs as needed. Investigate and resolve SAP master data issues, submit data changes and report system problems timely.

Responsibilities

• Develop reports to analyze plant labor and material efficiencies
• Provide recommendation for plant improvements and oversee improvement efforts through to completion.
• Must be a good communicator to effectively communicate the status of product or processes between shifts either orally or with the use of written status reports
• Responsible for complex troubleshooting and problem solving
• Assists in planning and monitoring the timing of operations process steps
• Provides support / backup the production supervisors when necessary
• Coordinate training plans, develop training matrices and track training effectiveness
• Monitor plant training effectiveness, identify any deficiencies and recommend mediation plans.
• Provides coaching to associates on day-to-day activities and performance
• Provides continuous improvement recommendations and/or solutions to support overall operational efficiency
• Demonstrates the ability to follow established procedures according to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP)
• Must follow all BD housekeeping policies and procedures
• Must follow all BD safety policies and procedures
• Must be able to work excess hours as required to meet BD business requirements

Minimum Education/Experience:

• High School diploma or GED
• Bachelors degree with 5 years manufacturing or project management experience including minimum 1 year FDA/relevant regulated environment experience OR 10 years manufacturing or project management experience including minimum 1-year FDA/relevant regulated environment knowledge required

Basic Skills:

• Ability to understand manufacturing process flows, Cost of Goods Sold, Labor/material variances.
• Must be able to maintain neat, accurate and complete records and logs, both manually and/or electronically on a personal computer
• Must be able to navigate through SAP.
• Must be able to effectively manage frequent assignment changes

Proficient/Working Skills:

• Strong project management experience
• Strong presentation skills and cross functional collaboration.
• Must be proficient in English with the ability to read, write, analyze/evaluate charts, follow simple diagrams and perform basic arithmetic
• Proficient in Microsoft excel to develop/run macros, chart data and develop pivot tables.
• Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office.
• Must have a working knowledge of SAP to run and export reports
• Must have working knowledge of SAP to TECO orders
• Understand lean manufacturing
• Must be able to work in a repetitive work environment.
