Your Role and Responsibilities

Job description: Research on foundation model for materials and chemicals using machine learning
Skill set: Materials informatics AI (deep learning) material science/chemistry
Language: English/Japanese

Period：>3 months negotiable
Time：9:00～17:36 (default)
Reduced working hours can be negotiated:

Salary(Daily):
9700yen (for master’s)」／10900yen (for doctoral students)」(in case housing allowance is unnecessary)
15700yen (for master’s)」／16900yen (for doctoral students)」(including housing allowance)
Commuting cost will be paid.

For foreign residents coming to Japan to participate in an internship please apply at least 4 months prior to the desired start date in order to prepare for the VISA. In addition the internship period must be at least 3 months. (This does not apply to foreign students living in Japan.)

Required Technical and Professional Expertise

• AI (deep learning) machine learning
• Experience or interest in materials informatics
• Experience in using Python GitHub and Hugging Face
• Accepted technical papers with a peer review

Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise

• Knowledge/experience in materials informatics
• Experience in state-of-the-art AI models (e.g. Transformer)
