You will perform a variety of manual and administrative tasks, adhering to established procedures to maintain efficiency and accuracy. - Inventory Management: Efficiently receive, verify, store, issue, and ship a wide range of items, ensuring accurate inventory control and minimizing discrepancies.
- Material Handling: Utilize mechanical aids (excluding forklifts or high bay vehicles) to load, unload, store, and deliver various materials, adhering to safety and operational guidelines.
- Lift Operation: Complete training to proficiently operate a single personal lift, enhancing material handling capabilities.
- Packaging: Prepare and package both small and large parts with precision, following established procedures and using appropriate materials to ensure safe transit and storage.
- Procurement: Process purchase orders for spare tooling and materials, ensuring timely and cost-effective acquisition of necessary supplies.
- Technical Proficiency: Skillfully use computer hardware and software to manage inventory, process orders, and maintain accurate records.
- Oversight and Maintenance: Supervise parts preparation, material handling, and the operation of measuring and packaging equipment. Record and monitor the calibration logs of tools and equipment to ensure compliance and accuracy.
- Preventative Maintenance: Perform operator-level preventative maintenance tasks and promptly refer major issues to machine maintenance, ensuring minimal downtime and optimal equipment performance.
- Compliance: Oversee inventory and manage all government-owned tooling property in accordance with military regulations, ensuring full compliance and accountability.
- Customer Coordination: Maintain regular contact with personnel from various customer and support areas to ensure the accuracy of materials and processes, fostering strong working relationships.
- Measurement and Recording: Utilize a variety of measuring and weight recording devices to ensure precision and accuracy in all material handling tasks.
- Workplace Organization: Keep equipment and surrounding areas neat and clean, promoting a safe and efficient work environment.
- Additional Duties: Perform related duties as required within the scope of the job, demonstrating flexibility and a willingness to support the team as needed.
- HS Diploma. In the absence of a HS diploma or GED, 2 years of relevant experience is required.
- Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship now or in the future. Collins Aerospace will not offer sponsorship for this position.
