Material, Trim, and Color Development Assistant

Who We Are:

Materials & Color Development Assistant 

What You’ll Do:

• Facilitate Color, Print, and Pattern development from design request to bulk approval across all apparel divisions, partnering closely with internal design team and external mill partners
• Prep and lead weekly reviews with design for color-comments across base materials
• Color match lining and core trims to seasonal color palette
• Manage internal systems for color development tracking purposes, reporting and development analytics
• Coordinate multiple allocation send-outs for print & color development, in alignment with global sourcing strategy
• Own bulk lot approvals for color and quality, level up issues to R&D Associate Manager
• Coordinate fabric samples, wear-tests and review sessions. Facilitate wear-test findings share-out with CF stakeholders
• Manage sourcing appointment calendar
• Maintain organization of physical Materials Library
• General data entry
• Send out development packages

What You’ll Need:

• Excellent color vision, scores from Farnsworth–Munsell 100 Hue Color Vision Test or similar. 
• For candidates without existing test scores, we can assess via project in the application process
• Strong eye for detail and high sense of organization
• Excellent communication skills, written and verbal
• Ability to facilitate cross functional conversations and partnerships

Who You Are:

• An individual with a passion and curiosity for materials, product development, and production color & quality management
• Someone who enjoys in-office environments, working with physical product. This position is not eligible for hybrid WFH

Extra Credit:

• Working knowledge of textiles and apparel product development
