Materials Examiner and Identifier (FLO)

This job has a screen-out element which will be used to determine minimum eligibility for this job. The Screen-out Element for this position is: The ability to perform a full range of Materials Examiner and Identifier tasks demonstrated by experience including; receiving various types of materials, equipment, and components; reviewing shipping documentation to ensure proper turn information was provided; inspecting and determining the completeness and condition of items/materials; identifying turned in materials/items locating part numbers and cross-referencing, as needed; Querying databases to verify parts numbers and ensure correct identification; input material identification, condition, and shipping information into a computerized system; Operating Material Handling Equipment including forklifts; Comply with established procedures to process materials/items for shipment or storage; load and unload material from trucks, loading docks, and conveyors.

Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment.
